Pheace: Is this based on anything in particular? Apart from some particular cases I've not really seen much evidence of devs being able to readily hand out GOG keys for games they released here.

I do vaguely remember that. Does that mean most devs just don't bother?
Another backer interested in a GOG key.

GOG says they don't have problems sending free keys to developers for backer. I backed a lot of games that provided gog keys. And some didn't. In the other hand, I also heard GOG didn't like giving keys to backers that also get steam keys. They provide gog keys as long as are the only keys you get. This is not confirmed, though. Only rumors.

And there's the fact that the distribution is done through humble. The only other kickstarter that got me keys through humble was Broken Age, and after a while. So I don't know how straight forward it is.

But, yes, drm-free gog versions are a lot better that humble bundle ones. I have several drm-free in humble bundle (classic indies not in gog), and you whatever they put. Sometimes installers. Sometimes zip/rar files directly. Is not always easy to know the release version. They don't keep track of versions or updates. It's kind of a mess.

So, basically, everyone expects a steam key in a kickstarter. And the gog key should be the drm-free standard, whenever a gog release is available.

I can't speak for all, but I have backed one game that has been completed and it did make it here and no GOG keys were offered. Pretty sure in my case is was a lazy dev.

Now's your chance.
Here is said post:

SirPrimalform wrote to the devs and explained how to get keys and it seemed to work... might be worth a try here.
If you check your humble bundle claim page, you'll see the claim on steam or wii u options, but also a direct download link to a DRM-free copy of the game.

"But Humble Bundle won't keep that link updated with the latest build of the game" That may or may not prove true, but then you have the Steam version which does stay up to date. Frankly, the Steam version is DRM-free as well. The software doesn't authenticate through Steam in any way, nor does it need Steam to be on to run.

shmerl: That's only if they are pro-DRM. Those who release DRM-free should have no trouble getting GOG keys

It's based on GOG comments. They said multiple times they are ready to assist developers if they need keys for backers and there are no blockers on their side.

Yes, or they simply didn't do it for some unspecified reasons.

Done! Now next time I'll just need you to remind me I did so. Or maybe where I saved it. :)

Not according to Steam TOS. Anyway, I'm not using Steam.
I'm also a backer and I would like to get a key on GOG so +1!
Same here, I'm a backer who'd really like to get this game on GOG and not Steam or Humble if possible. +1
Another backer that'd prefer a GOG key.
I wonder if all of us showed armikrog in their humble bundle page or some proof of being a backer, maybe GOG will give us the game without the dev interference, though i dont think GOG would like. =x

Thought that was Crimson?
I see a way to redeem a steam key in my humble bundle thingy. I'm holding that off for now. =x
