Nice!

I hope this is just the beginning of a great purge. Slender and Cinemaware next, please!
Good news! :D
Get rid of this one, while you're at it. GOG shouldn't be selling this crap.

Frozen: French-exclusive news? That's new.

fables22: The EN post was in the Armello game specific forum for a couple hours now.
What's the point of only posting it to the people who already own the game? That seems counter-productive at best.
Well, it seems the die skins they made for the game are paying off...

And good riddance!

Indeed. :D

I have mixed feelings. I was always somewhat interested in the game, even after I learned there wasn't a single player campaign mode. When they announced the "change" I was even slightly optimistic they'd perhaps consider releasing some sort of campaign DLC (with maybe a story and some card rewards for advancing through different maps / boards). You know, as a way to placate DRM free supporters of the game as they took the "main" version of it in a paid microtransaction / always online sort of direction.

I still told myself I'd pick it up on discount in its current state, but only at "my price" because I have to admit the direction the developers took left a bad taste in my mouth.

So I'm a bit bummed that I won't get a chance to try it if it is indeed leaving today. But there's no way I'm going to grab it under these circumstances.

muntdefems: And now we're getting regional warnings too! :P
Thought the same when I saw this thread just now. ;-)

I assume the announcement won't garner all that many sympathy posts, so better not have it in the General Discussion?

While I agree that Obscuritas is a piece of crap, I don't think it should be pulled from the catalogue. Armello well and truly deserves to be pulled due to the devs royally screwing over gog customers. And I'm saying this even though I'm convinced that this game getting pulled has little to do with gog growing a spine and taking a firm stand for their customers (in their defense, I believe they DID offer refunds, which the devs probably weren't too happy about) and has everything to go with the devs being dicks. They made an appeasing news post at the time, expected us to swallow their bollocks and have now finally come to the conclusion that they wrung out every last penny out of their disgruntled gog clientele.

MaxFulvus: According to this post, Armello will be removed from the store today at 20h (french time).
Thank you very much for the thread.

To everyone: standalone threads in GD like this are the best way to attract attention to an important community issue. Not stickies (they're helpful to repeatedly access a single existing topic but bad for surprise announcements), not bumping old threads with old titles. If you see something, say something (in a new thread). Thank you.
good riddance gog should have done this when the game launched here
I'm sure it'll return once they get rid of that nasty DRM-freeness.
I'm ok with this.

Launch the game and remove it at the same time? That's impractical.
And the game has been removed from the store.
