I am looking for the best racing game on GOG. A lot of racing games I have tried in my day were just real turds.

I'd wager GRID and FlatOut 2 are some of the best available here. The former for more serious racing (if not all that realistic), and the latter for some good ole arcadey carnage. ;)

Moto Racer 3 is terrible,

Sadly not yet. Last time I played the game on LAN in 2004 I think.. I have two laptops here running Linux, will give it a try in wine.

I actually did "win" a race in that once. I completed all the laps in the right order and didn't take out a single other car.

The people standing on the track are a different story.
