Terminal/command prompt rules ass. Everyone who's not using them to install, launch or manage their programs/files is a noob.

It's not a question of "modern stupidity", just good design and convenience... a form of auto-save on top of the manual ones, with a dedicated slot so it does not interferes, should always be available, there is really no downside to this.

Well, I still remember when gaming magazines were complaining about games that didn`t allow you to save manually, but only using checkpoint save methods, usually those checkpoints were often placed at very bad points in the game. Nowadays they complain about not having the opportunity to save when you want? Do we live now in a mirror universe where everything is the opposite of what it should be?
I still remember the time when there was no opportunity to save your game.

Well it's curious. When you look at the bible there's many cases in it's historical texts that things tend to sling shot all the time. You have a good king, then you have a really crappy king, then a good king, etc. Then society would slingshot between being lawful and being lawless, between one set of beliefs and the ones that were fought, then the next generation taking the opposite stance...

I don't regularly read the bible, nor am i going to get into such religious discussions, but thought i'd comment on it.

I wonder if I am the only one who enjoyed "Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis" all that much more, just because of how the savepoints where handled.

It's not stupid just spoiled. People get used to things and they can't go back to old stuff. For example. My car has a rear view camera so I can back out easy. Before I was fine without it, but now I wouldn't ever wanna drive a car without it

Of course you're right with that. If it happens and I really read a book these days I use of course none of these antiquated manual bookmarks anymore... For that there is this genius bookmark app. On my non-existant shmup-phone... ;P
