I was quite pleased to see 25th/JA/SFC/SFA come up, and was hoping for more, but so far that's not happened. I know that rights to the franchise were distributed in chunks to different companies (which causes IP management headaches), and that right now certain games have copies uploaded by the remnants of their communities, but I really thought if anything this would be the year for at least a few Trek releases, being the 50th anniversary and all. I recall some site that seems to "own" SFC 2/3 now said they were near the end of negotiations with gog, but obviously nothing ever came of it.

Does anyone know the scoop?

I think it's vanilla.
Possibly butterscotch, but I'm still banking on an off-white vanilla.
I hope so, but I somehow doubt it. Personally I don't care about Starfleet Command much, never liked those games, but I'd love to see the Activision Star Trek games here, and even more A Final Unity and Borg. I never got to play those, and it's the closest to more TNG there is. Final Unity is probably the only thing I'd buy immediately upon release here (unless the price would turn out to be insane).

pistachio

and while its possible there might be more star trek games coming
they still have to untangle all the rights
its ..complicated

For any further Interplay-owned titles that is quite unlikely, since they have been looking to dump all their IPs for a little while now. Frankly, I was very surprised Titus the Fox showed up after they started shopping around for a buyer.

Probably not, they're probably lost in licensing hell.
Why was that new game removed from sale BTW?

If you mean the one released shortly before Into Darkness came out, mostly because it was a terrible game. Putting aside the fact that it's a third person shooter, it's loaded with bugs and bad design. I tried it out again recently to see if it ever got patched and I counted 8 bugs before starting the first actual "mission". All you do is walk to the bridge and then to the shuttlebay during that time.

edit: and by bugs I mean unmissable bugs, like spock decided to float up and out of the level, or huge geometry errors
