Is there any chance of fiction factory's games coming to GoG? I'd love to have a drm free copy of Arcade Spirits, the new challengers and Penny Larcney when it comes out.

Just found the wishlist section but can't see how to delete this, sorry for the off topic post.

Gog's curation team requires a certain cup size that this game doesn't appear to fill.
I asked the devs years ago, when the Arcade Spirits' demo first came out, and was told they weren't interested in GOG. IIRC they just told me to buy on Itch instead. No idea if their attitude has changed since.

Never hurts to try emailing them. Remind them that there's a popultion of gamers here that don't buy on Steam (or Itch)

Does itch give developers a higher percentage or something?

the developers set the % themselves on Itch, there is no fixed entry point. They can give itch 99% of the sale, or 0%.

Oh wow. Well that explains a lot then.

itch.io is very different from other places where you can buy games, as the focus is not on the buyers but on the developers, which is why Leaf Corcoran created it to start with. So while stores like Steam or gOg tries to foster a community for buyers, Itch.io tries to foster a community of developers. this is why they have the amount of freedom for developers, hosting game jams and so on. if you are a new developer, itch is the best place to try out first because of this.

You could edit the wishlist entry into your post and suggest people vote.

Like this: "Please consider voting: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/arcade_spirits_the_new_challengers "

However I'd also suggest sharing a YouTube link to gameplay, both in your post and in a comment in the wishlist entry.

That's strange, I asked one of the writers a few months ago why it wasn't on GoG and they said it was GoG who wasn't interested in hosting them.
