Seen this earlier... good news if true. That would be game number two. Personally I honestly would not mind Denuvo or any DRM system in games if companies like GOG and Steam would make publishers sign contracts that say they must be removed after a set time period. Not that I personally think it works or has much effect on sales, but if it makes them feel better during launch then so be it.

People have analyzed the last patch for DOOM and it seems Denuvo has been removed. ( http://i.imgur.com/HZQ0aYr.png http://i.imgur.com/M0OiCO6.png ). A bit weird it wasn't referenced on patch notes. But good on Bethesda for doing this hopefully others follow suit.
Hmmm interesting... Annoying it was there in the first place. I wonder if having it missing improved compatibility?
Hard to say...

I'm still cautious, but optimistic. If it gets officially confirmed, I'll get it without a moments hesitation.
GoG release would be awesome, but I don't really mind one time activation.

I remain cautious, knowing Bethesda it could simply be that they screwed up the patch and forgot to reapply Denuvo on it rather than them willingly removing it.
It wouldn't be their first time, they already did it for Fallout where the Securom protection was incorrectly implemented on the initial version (and was therefore easily bypassable) only to have it patched back a couple day later.

I really want detailed performance comparison between patched version and older one - with denuvo, because its the best way to combat drm - to show consumers the price they have to pay - not only in dollars but also a performance hits

Performance impact is probably minimal during gameplay. At best - loading times would be faster. I'm just glad online requirements even for single player might be gone. That confirmation can't come soon enough.

They don't have Denuvo (not sure about Skyrim remaster); so they are already prepared to appear on gog; they just wanted to add Doom to the mix so expect all of them on gog within the next 1-2 hours or so :P

I still wonder why publishers waste time+money+resources on DRM when I can get any game for "free" in less than 24 hours after release, in certain sites.
It'd be better if they sold those games in DRM-free stores since day one. At least they'd get the money from honest buyers, who don't want client software on their PCs.
