I want to call it OCD but I'm certain that's wrong. But I can't stand having incomplete game collections, despite of course games like the later Serious Sam, Elder Scrolls and Fallout titles are on Steam.

But I mean games that are unavailable anyway.

I have Monkey Island 1, 2 immediately jumps to 5.

Myst 1, 2 immediately jumps to 5.

The first 5 Wizardry's aren't present.

I'm sorry but I'm a completionist, and yes I know with Myst and Wizardry they are copyright issues. (Which no-one seems to want to bother to make any sort of agreement anything soon) and the Monkey Island titles are likely going to get remastered eventually. But still... it really bothers me.

Not really, unless perhaps one of the skipped games is particularly good, like Monkey Island 3 for example. Or Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom. Or Simcity 3000.

Personally, whether it's bad or good doesn't mean much to be, for example there is a fantasy novel series I like, 21 books in the series, so you know a few will end up being duds and yes, some are outright awful but most are good. But I can't imagine having an incomplete set on my shelf regardless.

Though... there have been exceptions to my rule. I refuse to download King's Quest 8 or Ultime 8 or 9. But it's different because they're at the very end. While my issue is with games absent in the beginning or middle. It's just jarring.

I'm still pissed about SimCity 3K not being here. I'm tempted to investigate getting it on Amazon.

Also what I'm getting at with my earlier comment. Ultima 8 and 9 and King's Quest 8 are at the end, I can just pretend both series' ended at 7.so it doesn't count towards my issue.

Sort of yes, as i buy drm free only, there is little chance of seeing many series complete here eg TES series etc.

I heard someone say that more Elder Scrolls games are coming to GOG. If so I already own Oblivion and Skyrim on Steam and no doubt they'll be part of the Steam Connect program so... No-DRM versions for free :)

I'm pretty sure SC4 is the better game, but I really miss those quirky mayors from neighbouring cities. Neighbouring cities, that is, that you didn't have to build yourself :P

My issue with 3000 was it's one of the rare Sims games that doesn't have a money cheat. Not that I abuse it, but I was never serious with the game when I was a kid (I am more focused on Mayoral duties now) but at the time I just preferred treating it like a sandbox by building whatever whenever. Yet 3000 the only money cheat they have is "Call Cousin Vinnie" in which the Mafia will give you a fixed loan, for a price.

At least from what I can remember it was way easier to make money in 3000 than in 4, with some really lucrative deals with your neighbours. Of course you can do that in 4 as well, but you have to build the neighbouring city/town first :P

But yeah, it is a great game :) It was also a final gift to me from a family member that passed away soon after, so I'll always have a soft spot for it.

I will confess, I will use money cheats when I first start out just to figure out placement and look of stuff that you normally can't afford at the start. That way, later on in a real game, I'm not sitting around wondering what the hell stuff does is and if I should build it.

Don't remember seeing that rumour, good stuff if that happens.
Not sure about the Steam connect thing, but great if it gets more games for those that use it.
