Hacknet Deluxe is free on Humble for the next day and 18 hours. You can download it on Humble or get a steam key.
Cheers

Hacknet Deluxe

Thanks for the tip!
I checked with the Humble Support Twitter Ninja and apparently only the Steam key has an expiry date - the DRM-free download should stay in your account indefinitely. Nice!
It's fun!
I remember this being an awesome game a couple years ago. Minor gripe involving the commandline where it doesn't quite behave like a unix system, but meh....

I've just checked the offer and it has serious problem - I still need to have/link Steam account to get DRM-free version and because of that, I'll call this bs. :/

I do hate having linked my HB to my Steam account (as i never use steam) but i eventually got convinced to turn in all my HB keys... i had like 400 of them.

THAT took a while....

But i'm sure it isn't hard to find the DRM-free version somewhere so you can play it.

Well, yes, I'm just saying this specific HB "free" offer is not so good as it looks.

That's really bloody stupid, wonder why they've done that?

For key redemption, a free Steam or Audio download account is required.
What's an Audio download account?
Damn. I have to have a GOG account to get a game from GOG!

Does anyone realize how stupid saying that would sound?

And no, I am not a fan of Steam. But how is having an account with Steam any different to having an account with Humble, GOG or any other website that has stuff you want?

As for the Game or Audio account, I imagine it is just one and the same ... normal Steam account.

And for the game, I did not even need to go to Steam, though I did. Because after clicking on the email online at Humble, I could scroll past the Steam Key section and grab both the game and Soundtrack via direct links.

Yeah, good thing that no one was saying anything like that then!

Lexor wasn't complaining about having to have a Humble account, they were saying they were asked to connect their Humble account to Steam account to even access the DRM-free download from Humble. I have just checked and verified this is the case. Your sarcastic comparison isn't in any way applicable.

There we go, fixed it for you! If you want to be a sarcastic dick, at least be accurate.

My guess is so that people wont take the Humble Bundle version for themselves and sell or give away the Steam key.
