For those who need a point of reference, imagine WellTris but more complicated.

The obscure game for me was Welltris, I knew BlockOut but I had to search the other one to see what it was about.

There is many online versions of this 3D Tetris game BlockOut .

This version is ok if you just want to try it out.
https://blockout.nu

But if you want a global ranking you need to download a open source version
called BlockOut2 from 2007 in C/C++ here.
http://www.blockout.net/blockout2/index.php

You need to upload score 5 times to get the average score ranked.

I always felt those 3D versions of Tetris were failed attempts at "more is always better, right?".

Tetris was a genius games in the good old "easy to learn, hard to master"-category. Those 3D "sequels" took the "easy to learn" away from the equation, and making the game more complicated didn't really make it any bit more interesting.
