Get the steam version. :)

So much easier to update, install and the multiplayer is still going on the steam servers ;)

Didn't that game move to Steamworks?

I play a lot of CoH 2 which is definitely Steamworks. I'm pretty sure Relic moved its servers for Dawn of War and CoH to Steam as well..

Then no multiplayer for you.
And it really is a pain to install, if you even can now that Relic servers are down.

I know people hate steam, but the multiplayer community is there, and I had to re-buy the series. It's damn cheap on steam when the sales are on.

I think I got it. There are two serials with the disc but it only allows me to use one. When I went with the second I think it opened up everything but I can't be totally sure. I know I have the 1st game here at least. Worse case I can't play the expansions.

I have nothing against Steam but I only get 10gb of bandwidth per month so being online to play is a little rough. :P

Note that there are a whole mess of user-created maps for you to download, so the loss of the expansions isn't the end of the world.

Good luck getting it to run. The first game is really fantastic.

Yea it was convoluted how they set it up in the first place. You had to install the first one, patch it, then install the next one, patch that, then install the last one and then patch them all together. Getting those patches? They were a pain as well, but GamersHell or one of those patch places should have them.

Oddly enough I'm on 2.5 which I think is the latest.
