darthspudius: I got my first big scare already. The zombie hidden across from the library entrance. I forget he is there everytime. Fucker got me down to red with one bite!

Crosmando: Yeah I just got the bathtub zombie, I knew there was going to be a zombie in it but it still freaks me out.
Cause it makes you wonder what is he doing in there.

Also don't play as Jill in that part because she can kill the zombie in the middle of the cutscene while Chris' campaign the player has to deal with it on his own.

See what I mean Jill is too easy?

Elmofongo: The soundtrack certainly helps:

SPOILERS

There are no zombies in the Library unless you are playing the original 1996 Resident Evil?

The Remake is where you fight the Giant Snake for the first time.

darthspudius: Was I thinking of the Gallery with all the crows? Either way, the sneaky little git was waiting for me outside the door.
Please tell me you are playing as Chris Redfield

Anyway the scariest thing for me is the Shark breaking through the glass.

And the sounds the Hunters makes. They make clikcking souunds like how the Predator does:

Got bitten, knew he was going to turn into a zombie, so he sliced his wrists in a bath. That's what I reckon anyway.
No, but I had amazing two weeks finishing the original PS1 version with Jill (finally after all these years). And after I finished it, look up on net if there were other endings and learned that I got the best one, good for me. :)

I'll definitely pick up HD Remaster when the price drop down, it's currently my second most wanted game (after Binding of Isaac: Rebirth).

Elmofongo: The place near the graveyard where you get the first mask yeah that zombie screws you. I always walk in that gallary puzzle to not disturb the crows.
You'd think I'd learn after 10 yrs lol.
Nope, I still have the original PC version installed on my Vista SP2 system. I'll play that sometime in the future. I don't give a fuck about Capcom and its remakes anymore.

And probably drowned himself while doing so.
I have the original PS1 release of this game. I only ever played through it a couple of times, though. Why? Involuntary Hardcore Mode, that's why. I bought the game together with my PS1, but couldn't afford a memory card.

First playthrough I died in the last boss, the second time, a couple of weeks later, I avoided him and managed to finish the game.

But it was fun. :)

I'll grab this one eventually, when it's either cheap enough or I have the intention of playing through it immediately.

You do realise this remake is over a generation old right? This is not a game that has been ported 60 times over in the past 10 yrs. It was solely on gamecube since 2002. Any fan of the original should take their heads out their backside to check it out as it is a vastly superior product.

I never did try that difficulty mode, don't think my sanity could hack it.

Hahaha... I was young and had no other option. :P I'd hardly ever try that nowadays. I don't think I'd be able to remain stuck in a game non-stop for 5 to 6 hours again (Though I DID do that back in 2007, playing through SupComm's UEF campaign - but it was the last time, really).

I could probably do it with Resi 2-3 and Metal Gear Solid. But the original is still a bit hard for my taste.
I'll buy it in the weekend for the ps4 with the lousy 10% discount Sony is giving, i was going to buy Dying light this month but after the pre orders shenenigans i decided to wait for a sale and give RE1 a try.
But i'll be honest, i kind of wary after playing RE0, i love those games when i was younger but i have been spoiled with the inventory limit, i don't like leaving stuff behind (especially powerfull weapons) considering i never know when i'm going to face a boss...

I felt a bit weird about RE0 aswell. Dropping stuff anywhere was a bit odd. REmake would be an utter nightmare if you could do that lol.

Thing is, with the others (not counting the recent ones) you could put the items on the boxes and acess them in different spots (if they had a box there, obviously), with RE0 it was basically one spot (unless you were transporting the items and dropping in another places) and you had to split items with the other character, that was messed up, i had to fight a boss without the grenade launcher because it was with the other character (who was inaccessible)...

And i still remember my reaction after changing the level... "HEY WHAT ABOUT MY ITEMS"... and when the level changed it was just a mess of items on the floor. What were they thinking...
Played about two hours so far. Man, this game is still an incredible achievement.

All the elements just work so perfectly together. Even the oft-hated tank controls.
I have both (inc DC) on PS1 I have this on GC along with Zero etc (yeah, still LOL, I am a hoarder), any point in me getting this?

Also, how are the controls?

Thanks for any help :)
