How do I download an archive of all the content I paid for at once and close my account here?

The fasted way to download is with Gog Downloader. And I think there's no way to close an account but there's always a workaround: losing it. Change your mail to some temporary email that you'll quickly discard, change your password to some gibberish you won't remember, and clear all saved login info and gog related cookies from all your browsers. Your account will be gone for you.

Gogrepo.py for the download, contact support for account deletion.

I'd like to point out, however, that anything you acquire on Steam might end up here via Connect, however, so this place might still have a use as a DRM free backup library, even if you don't financially support it.

I don't mind the new design, but it could use a few improvements.

Here are a few suggestions for the website team:

- Stop putting two banners on the front page. It looks terrible.
- The zoom feature on the game images is distracting and unnecessary.
- The featured images are not properly cropped, so they don't look centred.
- Make sure to clearly display all new games on the front page.
- Please don't put full page ads for games when entering GOG.com.

That being said, I always welcome change, but I sincerely hope you will listen to user feedback.

I think you're right, in that's what GOG is trying to do. The problem with it is it has *always* been a niche platform. Being a niche platform is what got it where it is, as the Steam alternative for those of us interested in classic gaming, a more international intelligent community (on average there seems to be much more intelligent discussion and less idiocy in the forums), and quality games. And supposedly a focus on customer service, that appears to have fallen by the wayside.

When it comes to download services, theres Steam, and your respective (Android/iPhone) shovelware and freemium filled mobile store.
And then there's everything else, which as you say are just generic digital download stores usually run by a big publisher and focusing on their catalog (that you can get on Steam anyway so why bother).

GOG is making a giant mistake if they continue trying to *be* Steam, instead of offering a niche but decent sized alternative to Steam- they seem to have lost sight of why people choose to use GOG, and they certainly arent going to draw in the average 20 year old Steam user with a shoddy attempt at mimicry of Steam.

But it appears to be thats what they're trying to do.

My only issue is on the main page how the weekly sales are hidden way at the bottom.

All right, about a month from the big redesign, over 40 pages of reaction (mostly negative ones) in this thread only and still no sign of any of those numerous and repeated complaints being addressed. Enough time to come to some conclusion.

I do dislike the "new GOG".

Actually, I dislike it to the point I most likely leave it.

The only remaining reason for spending my free money and time here are downloadable off-line installers. Speaking about the rest, they managed to become the least pleasant place to buy games from that I know. After the last overhaul, browsing idly for games is actually more convenient at Steam than here (at least they didn't leave The Age of Literacy yet; also, DLCs are bundled correctly with their core games).
Therefore, except for the games I will really want to keep for the future, I revert back to my old habits: buying right from the company site if possible, then go for the middlemen like MatrixGames or to the Steam, even with the risk that I can lost access to something that I pay for.

Yeah... looking at the front extra ad and seeing that "Skip this..." I got high hopes, so I clicked it .. and there we go, it's still messing the main page.

Now I just expect that front ad to appear again, because who knows what is the meaning of word "NEVER" in GOG land... (also I somehow may be interested into that new game, because I don't even have computer with windows, only linux boxes, so right, push it on me even more... well played GOG (like the galaxy ads telling me how I can try it aren't already bad enough)

The new filter on store ... seems OK for me at first glance. Somewhat simplified (systems can now be filtered only by major OS, not subversions), but at least it seem to work.

Now I miss only filter to hide games I already own ("in library") (including their deluxe/etc variants, or at least those having separate flag "variant in library" to be aware of that on first sight)... as it's getting near impossible to find games I don't own yet, I already own 90% of filtered results, so it's a bit tedious to make sure I'm looking at actually something new and not some kind of variant of something I already have.

And somebody was asking for sort by price, which is missing as well, but I can live without that.

Trans/Gender/SJW topics are dominated by astroturfing, so I would expect many socket puppet/fake accounts artificially creating content over there.

That is one of my most hated things. As videos on GOG tend to make my browser lock up.

I just want Good Old Games back.

This amazes me.

I used to regularly stop by and pick up a few games. I've got hundreds from Gog.

VERY disappointed that this new website design is being forced down our throats like this.
