UnrealQuakie: I wish more companies use telephone support
avatar
Kleetus: Sure, that would be great but unrealistic, especially for software.

Can you imagine the phone calls and how many staff they'd need?

avatar
UnrealQuakie: That's why I love Amazon and long ago Apple for this.
avatar
Kleetus: Yeah, well, they can afford to as they're scummy tax-dodgers.
LOL very true! but eh

dreanason: hello, can anyone answer a question for me
dreanason, any luck resolving your problem?

Glad to hear that. Were any of us close in guessing the connection setting problem?

HunchBluntley: You should know that you don't have to use GOG Galaxy for running your GOG games (unless you want to play online multiplayer in one of the games that uses Galaxy to implement that, or if you absolutely must have Galaxy achievements). Client software such as Galaxy can simplify installation & updating of games quite a bit...when the client actually works as intended; Galaxy is still an early-ish beta product, though, so it's got quite a few kinks which need to be worked out.

Attached are some instructions on how to download & install a game from your library via your web browser of choice -- just pretend my Stasis reference is actually talking about whatever game you're trying to install. (I really should get around to updating the text on those one of these days. =) )
I love this community. Thank you sir.

Don't tell me you needed those instructions, too, after all these years you've been here? ;P

I didn't :) I just am always impressed at people going out of their way to help.

Well, to be fair, I already had the images lying around from when I went out of my way trying (and failing) to help someone else several months back; I figured I might as well get some use out of them.
