I am new to this site and I bought some games. I just bought a new dell. I can see the games I bought on here and they say next to play but then it does nothing but keep me waiting, then I get a message that says "She
ll ExecutueEx Failed, code 1053. The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

well, if anyone knows why, id appreciate it

Are you using gOg Galaxy?
low rated
It's usually NET Framework or Visual C libraries, update them.

You should know that you don't have to use GOG Galaxy for running your GOG games (unless you want to play online multiplayer in one of the games that uses Galaxy to implement that, or if you absolutely must have Galaxy achievements). Client software such as Galaxy can simplify installation & updating of games quite a bit...when the client actually works as intended; Galaxy is still an early-ish beta product, though, so it's got quite a few kinks which need to be worked out.

Attached are some instructions on how to download & install a game from your library via your web browser of choice -- just pretend my Stasis reference is actually talking about whatever game you're trying to install. (I really should get around to updating the text on those one of these days. =) )

Make sure you save those pics. ;)

Oh, I have. They're actually from months ago, when somebody was having a problem getting Stasis to work properly. (Ironically, I don't think that person's problem actually wound up having anything to do with improper installation; he got frustrated trying to explain that he wasn't, in fact, an idiot, and I finally bowed out of the thread, unable to help him. Happily, the "instruction sheets" have come in handy a couple times since. :) )

Gog should really show a similar step-by-step guide to new users.

I just noticed the "Installed" and "Backlog" text on the game cards on the shelf in the very first picture. Is that added there when you add custom tags? If so, I need to make better use of the tag system!

Yeah, just one tag shows up though when you add multiple to one game.
