AnimalMother117: I had a fear that the main character would resemble the Arisen from Dragon's Dogma, and I still do, but at least every other character is looks to be interesting.
I agree that the characters aren't very nice looking, but everything else should be really, really good. I'll be out of this world and beyond ^_^

This game looks tremendous.
My only complaint: not enough Nopon.

Edit: otherwise looking forward to this JRPG :D

This is the main game I'm looking forward to for the rest of the year also. (Provided it makes it out this year outside Japan.) I already have enough credit at Amazon saved up to cover it.

I was already sold on it last year when I got a Wii U, but the preview video just added to that.

It'd have to come to PC for me to even consider it. My Wii is doing time as a fancy paperweight and I'm not going to buy the U unless they remove the boat anchor and 100 USD from the price.
Coming out in Japan Tomorrow!
The game is out today in Japan :)
Awesome!!!

It's out in Japan! Just that much closer to coming out this side of the ocean.

AnimalMother117: Xenoblade is one of my favorite games of the last gen and it is largely due to the plot and the way it's told, but the gameplay and the way everything comes together also contributed to this. I am rather excited for this game.

Oh, and I have a Wii U, I love it, but I probably would not have gotten it without this game's announcement.
This paraphrased sentiment pretty much echoes my thoughts. I would have eventually gotten a Wii U regardless due to Mario Kart, but the simple announcement of X pushed me into getting it earlier than anticipated. Fortunately I don't have buyer's remorse due to Nintendo putting out a lot of solid titles on the platform.

I cannot begin to describe how useful the 2nd screen functionality has proven to be than my original expectation. It's one of those things you need to experience to understand. The system isn't perfect as there are several minor (configuration settings) issues they could have addressed to make it work better for certain types of environments. That said, my only real complaint is the heavy handed (false positives) nature of their Miiverse social network.

My only real complaints with the Wii U is that its build quality isn't quite as good as my previous Nintendo systems (actually, all of them). I love it and find the second screen a lot more useful than I anticipated. Although, some of the features (TVii, Miiverse) kind of feel useless to me.
