BlueMooner: Who pays for the gog codes? Is Amazon paying gog, or are they paying someone else who gives them gog codes? I've heard of people talking about ways to get around paying Amazon for their service, and while I have no interest myself, I wonder who takes the hit when people do that.
Is gog losing money when people cheat Amazon like that, or does Amazon take the hit?
I have no idea, but my guess is that Amazon pays something, obviously not the consumer price. Is gog losing money when people cheat Amazon like that, or does Amazon take the hit?
Amazon is the party who is benefitting from Prime subscriptions, after all.
If GOG wanted to give games to users for free, they have their own infrastructure to do that, no need to use Prime services for that.
Then again, it can be seen as a marketing tool for GOG, like GOG Connect used to be.
