So basically you run around saying "Oh No, the truck have started to move!" and "All your base belong to us."
avatar
OpexCookies: I think he was just joking but to continue with the same idea, I actually learned most of my english in video games and cartoons and stuff back in the day, and lol who knew it would be better than learning from any teacher here :P

Aaaaargh! It's "All your base ARE belong to us"!

PS: This is the second time I've had to correct you in a few days. You'd better not try your luck a third time... :P

tfishell: Good thing you have a sense of humor, a lot of us are crotchety old dickheads who tend to piss off newcomers unfortunately. ;) (Granted that's our fault, not theirs, generally.)

Are you saying you don't play games 24/7 anymore? :O

In his defense, games can be something positive.
I learned english because I didn't understand shit in games.

The fact that I love cRPG surely helped.
I needed to understand the text to really enjoy the games. I was lucky that a lot of great RPGs were being released.
It was a good incentive to buy some dictionaries and start learning the mysterious language. =)

tinyE: If you're a student you shouldn't be playing games.

When I was in college all I did was play games.
When I was a student I never played a game.

I always got decent marks.

Never got to make friends.

Same was in college. No drugs, no alchohal, no dates, no life, nothing.

I started to play games when 2 years of my college was over.

Ironically I scored more marks while playing games than without playing it.

I am still at least 5-10 years far from making my dream come true.

Do you seriously want to end up like me?

Study hard, Play harder.

You never know what roller coaster ride life is going to become.

I hate to piss you off but I went to a REALLY REALLY hard private school, played games, never studied, and made good grades. :P I didn't have any friends but that was because the school was a little, what we would call today, "trump factory".

If you can't afford to buy games then stick around to gog forum.
May be you will be eligible for giveaways.

Also GOG giveaway very nice games during big sale events like Summer/Winter sale.

You may also save your pocket money (if you get any. Never got mine at your age) and ask your parents to open a bank account (I have heard that some banks issue a separate rechargeable card with smaller sum) ask for it.

I am not pissed. I already have Asian parents.
You would need to try something else for that. :P

It's okay if you don't want to talk about the subject, but I can't believe you simply threw a coin in the wishing well, made your wish and *puf!* became an english teacher. o_0

So, what are your favorite games/genres?

And remember, most of us have A LOT of years on you, so be careful what you call old school and retro. :P
