phaolo: You're going to receive a lot of wrong suggestions without any detail about your tastes..
There are no wrong recommendations. I just want to learn about new channels, after that it takes 1min for me to check them for myself, no need to restrict recommendations to any one thing. Besides, if they don't interest me they might interest someone else reading the thread.

My only regret is I didn't specify it didn't have to be gaming channels.
Youtubers I follow or have followed frequently at one point. Should probably update the list as DOSBoxMom hasn't releasesed videos for 3 years and Dad's Gaming Addiction has pretty much replaced Christonian when it comes to quick indie reviews.
My channel, I'd recommend mine & no one else's ;p

(kidding)

Barely ever use youtube, but when I do I like things like Zero Punctuation.

Jim Sterling isn't bad either.

Super Bunnyhop another good one.

DaCostaBR: I just unsubscribed to TotalBiscuit today. Been too long since I watched anything of him, tried 5min of the latest video but I don't feel like watching a man say in 50min what could easily be said in 5. Plus, I believe I may have found what I think is his alt, being his usual condescending prick, in his subreddit.
Considering the guy's fighting a (probably losing) battle with cancer I'm willing to give him some leeway if he'd be trolling around with an alt to be honest. Not that that excuses everything of course. The content he puts out still seems to be of roughly the same quality I think, though there's less of it.
SovietWomble
Robbaz

Both are game channels packed with comedy.
I think the only one I more or less follow is NerdCubed - https://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialNerdCubed/featured

I am enjoying his series on Planet Coaster. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, though.

To get a flavour - try his FW: Hatred - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFzxsN9H9hE

And here was I thinking I was the only one who felt that way about him. Every single time I watch one of his videos, I get this very same feeling.

About youtube channels, I think all that I regularly watch have already been mentioned.

Among all my subscriptions, the ones I pay the most attention are:

Lazy Game Reviews
- I watch almost everything he puts out, including stuff I don't care about (The Sims and old weird hardware, for example). The only videos of his that I'm guaranteed not to watch are let's plays, mainly because that's not something I care about and they tend to be long.

Gggmanlives
- Mr. FPS in person, he's practically only about reviews and 99% of those are FPS games, so I tend to enjoy them a lot.

Game Sack
- Their videos are longer than what I usually like, but since they only occur every two weeks, I'm ok with it. I like how the videos are made in the format of a TV show as well.

Super Bunnyhop
- He tends to be super analytical and, at times, somewhat philosophical and has a tendency for somewhat long videos. But he's a lot more interesting (and less repetitive) than TotalBiscuit at it.

MetalJesusRocks
- For me, Jason is at his best when he has a friend around talking about hidden gems or specific consoles (and their best games). According to him, though, his most watched videos are about weird random stuff with his friends.

PushingUpRoses
- Roses is very good. Though I don't regularly care about the games she reviews, I do like her nostalgia about said games.

I occasionally watch SuperDerek RPGs, Pixelmusement and Saturnology as well, but I don't feel very strong about any of them. Though I frequently like what they are talking about in their reviews, they never seem to improve much on how they talk in front of the camera.

Let me put it in another perspective: think Dave from Game Sack. Watch any very early episode of Game Sack and then watch any recent one. See how much Dave has improved. I mostly miss that kind of improvement on those three guys (SuperDerek RPGs, Pixelmusement and Saturnology).

Of course I feel sorry for him and the situation he's in, but I don't think this is really a factor. I remember how he behaved on his own Youtube comment section, long before any health issues, he was often the worst troll there. I almost unsubscribed then and there, but he disabled comments which turned out to be for the best. Every once in a while I'd hear about him being a dick to a fan on Twitter, but I don't have a Twitter account so, again, it was easy to ignore. This was just the last straw that said to me he's still the same dick he always was, I just wasn't looking in the right places. I've barely watched anything of his in the past 6 months, might as well just walk away.

Now I'm thinking I've just been leeching off of everyone, I should offer some channels in return:

Easy Allies: It's the crew from the now defunct Gametrailers, reorganized into a Youtube channel.

Videogamedunkey: Comedy gameplay videos.

Every Frame a Painting: An editor's video essays on technical aspects of film like framing techniques, scores, visual comedy, etc.

The Onion: Comedy fake news, and other tv show parodies. Their Sex House parody of locked house reality shows is absolutely brilliant.

I second this. His Bullshittery clips are great & the Alien: Isolation playthrough was funny, seeing how shit scared he was, to the point of actually crying lol.
