Maxvorstadt: I know what fat is, but what is obese?
"Beleibt", irgendwo zwischen "normal" und "Wal", nehm ich an.

Ich bin ein Berliner.

zeogold: He already said in his second post that he's trying to do something about it.

MaximumBunny: Obviously in the same way people are trying to get rich by Googling "how to make lots of money fast online from home". If he was serious about it he'd be doing it already, not *trying*.
Whaddayamean "obviously"? If the guy's doing what he can, don't chastise him about it. That's like being mad at seeing a fat guy at the gym and saying "Ew! He should lose weight!" when that's exactly what he's there to do.
If there's no such thing as "trying", I suppose it all just magically falls off at once when he wills it, eh?

He's not. Ergo health problems, ergo chastise. The rest of your post is you arguing with your strawman.

Fairfox: I get major coccyx pain.
I think I've had that, my coccyx was so sore I couldn't pee for several days.

Right, then...I see I'm gonna get nowhere with you on this, so perhaps it's better I just leave you be.

So, obese is more than chubby, but less than fat?

It tends to go:
Chubby > Overweight > Fat > Obese > Morbidly Obese

Morbidly? Hell, that sounds deadly fat!
Well, I like "mollige Mädels", which is a bit more weight than normal, but not elephant size!! :-D

That's what it means. i.e. so fat that you're at serious risk of death.

The American slang equivalent of that is probably "thick".
Assuming you're talking about women, that is.

Feel free to. You obviously have no idea what anyone's talking about, nor do you want to.

I always thought so, but apparently, I was mistaken. You live and learn.

Obese is way worse than fat. I think it's actually a medical term at that point.

I do wish to understand, but it's not worth it for me to drag it to the point of incivility.

ChaunceyK: ~snip
This thing has done wonders for me since buying it just a few months ago.

(And no, I am not the smiling blonde chick in the pic....I'm a dude)
my god i need one of those, been doing a barricade thing with several pillows lol

to the OP, if you are able you need to go to a specialist for your spinal problems to specifically see what the problem is, then get targeted pain relief and therapy to improve your life. also be aware that some other diseases can impact you lying down such as congested heart failure (pressure, pain, feeling of drowning) etc. in short you need a current workup and action plan to deal with this, seems like your quality of life isnt too good right now and I hope you get some relief soon. I have several bad discs, lower lumbar and neck and I can only imagine what your life might be like. therapy has strengthened specific muscles to give more support for those discs and improved my pain, while not fully a definite improvement.
