Hey AH!
I would say - selling your current and getting a shorter card is a cheaper way.
The other way is to get the case for long card, which would be an "investment", but neverless lots of lost time for little achievement.
I had
Chieftec Dragon 901 (aka the "big" tower), but
for exactly same reason had to replace it with
PCD. Yours is pretty good, - the 3+x 5" section is good in the long run as it can be inhanced with "5.25" to 2" or 3.5" " converter, which would allow to plug 4 of 3.5" drives/ssd into that bay; but I can imagine the fact its non-removable, makes it impossible to get very long cards inside....
The third option is dismantling of that cage by finding four or three rivets that hold it, drilling them out and mounting them with three or four screws+nuts instead. However its most time consuming and most difficult. I have done something like this too and almost drilled through my finger.
