Actually, the Fallout 3 problem is a problem with quad core computers rather then with the Windows operating system per se.
And there is a simple fix for it which involves adding a line to the .ini file
Windows 7 gets blamed because most now Windows 7 computer came with a quad core.
mofofromjkt: great old game that exclusively play only on windows xp = Fallout 3
purchased the game , tweaked it , download the patched, installed and applied the patch on my windows 7, didnt work, tweaked some more, the game still didnt work.
refunded it.
the hell with the windows xp.
GR00T: Yeah, as noted, it works on Win7 as well. I played it just recently on my Win7 Pro 64 bit rig, installed from my GOTY discs. Out of curiosity, how many CPU cores does your computer have?
