Don't know, nor care, nor should you. It's better if you ignore it altogether. People will stop talking about that person if they keep ignoring it.
Windows XP is over 15 years old now and as much as it's one of the best Windows OS's ever created there is very little point in continuing to support it.

GOG may no longer support the OS but that doesn't mean it will not run. As a Linux user sometimes I buy Windows games which run perfect using Wine of which GOG doesn't offer support.

For the record, GOG only supports Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04 as Linux distros, that doesn't mean the games will not run on older versions or non-Ubuntu distros. You don't see anyone complaining about that,

Personally I find nothing "Anti-WinXP" from GOG's side.

paladin181: Too many people buy the $600 Dell PC expecting it to run games like a $3000 PC. They often get belligerent when this doesn't happen.
A $600 Dell PC is a perfectly good gaming machine. It may not be powerful, but it's sufficiently modern. The fake problem in the thread and with the cheap bastard from your post is not PC power and wallet girth but outdated tech.

I'm learning programming and teaching programming. We have a guest lecture by a guy who independently invented binary search. He's alive and well. IIRC it was used in some sort of dictionary software for the Apple ][. ffs, Donald Knuth is still alive. Most techological developments we're taking for granted are shockingly recent, AND they continue. WinXP isn't just "old", it's bad. It's twice as old now as 3.1 was then. In 2017, 10 is the best Windows, just be sure to do a clean reinstall.

Oh yeah!? Know what?! They've been also complotting against MSDOS!!
The many titles that GOG sells, originally run on MSDOS! And yet they don't guarantee that it runs on MSDOS today!

Linux chops everything you throw at it, maybe except stupiDX11/12, but who would accept trojan os for "realistic hair fx" bonus?
Edit: ah, yes, Starmaker. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

4-vektor: It even exists in other languages. It’s Komplott in German, for example.
And it’s not so hard to derive its meaning if you know the meaning of plot.

Most people use a different Latin word for it nowadays: conspiracy ;)
I don't think anyone was actually confused about what he meant, as that was pretty easily gleaned from the context, as well as the similarity to plot that you mentioned. :) But given that the OP seems to be a non-native English speaker who was making a rather loony accusation, it was easy for me to assume that the word was either an untranslated borrowing from another language (which isn't far off the mark, actually), or something made-up, rather than it being an antique English word I'd never heard of.

MaxFulvus: Yep, it's a french word, when french language was still used in the world of diplomacy.
We'd give you all your words back, but then we would scarcely have any left. :P

Ahhhh!
I can see using XP as the second system on a dual boot computer, or running it in a VM,(for the express purpose of running old games) but as a primary operating system it is pretty much dead. Few software companies support it anymore.
And the situation is just going to get worse.
It does not help their case that so many of the hardcore XP users come off as the computer equivalent of the Grumpy Old Man yelling "GET OFF MY LAWN!". The the OP resorted right off the bat to a conspiracy theory weakens his case.
It is simply not worth it from a business standpoint for GOG to continue to test games for XP. People who use XP as their main OP is getting smaller every day.
I am sure GOG will keep a couple of XP computers around because they are now selling many game that were programmed for XP,and naturally you need the native OS to adjust a game for a modern OS,but they are not going to test a game for XP.
And it might still work on XP. It is just that GOG does not guarantee it.
There are some wierdnesses with GOG compatibility, "THe Longest Journey is listed for Windows XP,8 and 10 but not 7,but from the forums most users can, with a couple of tweaks, run it on 7.

FO3 worked fine on Win7 on multiple systems here using my retail copy, but GFWL had to be disabled (GFWL disabler) otherwise it would just crash immediately.

Just because it is so hard to get running, is why we want it here on GOG.

Both the OP and me clearly stated that XP were not our main operating systems but something we kept for running some old games.

Yeah, as noted, it works on Win7 as well. I played it just recently on my Win7 Pro 64 bit rig, installed from my GOTY discs.

Retail GOTY edition (I also used a crack on the launcher to remove the SecuROM disc check, but that only affects the launcher)
