Both Ballads of Remus and Dyad have also been abandoned on Steam since early 2015 each. They aren't purchasable in any region with new currencies in the past couple years, don't have sale, and the devs haven't logged in their accounts since then either.

I notice that the studio and publisher listed on GOG is Osao Games, while on Steam it is Bedtime Digital Games.
Turns out rights transferred from Osao Games (which shut down) to Bedtime Digital Games at the end of 2016 (according to some datamining on my part): http://presskit.bedtime.io/sheet.php?p=chronology.
I believe the devs transitioned companies.

MarkoH01: Just an educated guess here: A person new to GOG visits the front page and the first thing he sees is that GOG has to remove several games because of legal issues. Maybe it's just not the best impression this person would have of GOG at this moment? However like I said that's nothing more than a theory of mine.
I'm convinced being transparent and honest about the whole thing generates more goodwill than dislike – especially when GOG is giving you a heads-up and thus providing you with a window of opportunity to buy those of the games you're interested in. Furthermore, dependent on how announcements via e-mail work, it might ensure that people who don't frequently visit neither front page nor forum but have subscribed to store notifications will receive e-mails containing the announcement.

Maybe you are right. It would be interesting what GOG has to say on this matter.

As soon as I saw this, I knew GOG had thus proved themselves too incompetent to tweet Carpe Fulgur. Thanks to whomever tweeted them.

some devs leaving gog? games might be leaving too ?

well if it happens nothing we the gamers can do about i guess ....

If some of he games we bought will still be available on our shelves then its okay i guess, but if it means we will 'lose' games we paid for thats bad news very bad and extremely sad at the same time.
If and when it happens nothing we can do about it.... i also read the terms were changed again (october every year new terms ???)

Many gamers will have Steam aswell, and USA terms well are USA terms they would love to use all our info all over the internet, like Yahoo who will sue even more of our information to share it with 'partners' so i guess is the big ol USA shares all our 'secrets' why not GOG after they move to Poland ?

The Dutch will drag all info from any source starting 2018 jan the first... so if they can have it without us givng our consent, then any company that sells us games should have it aswell: afterall we get some nice games and our govts will give us nothing.


Anyway, you may or may not read all about the big change to take place in 2025 : things will drastically change for ALL EU members by 2025: everything will be done central by EU:
one EU army, one EU law one EU president ruling the new EUSSR (EU after 2024).

Well, picked up FRACT and Sokobond just in case.
Had hoped for some confirmation about the Carpe Fulgur games by now, but at least they indicated that they wanted the games to stay, so even if they disappear, they'll probably be back.

For those folks wondering why gOg does not have Game XYZ in the catalog, this might give a little bit of insight. The company has already made arrangements for these particular games to arrive to the store and then finds it's difficult just KEEPing them here sometime down the road.

Uphill battle, to be sure.
