For some time now, we’re working on relocating GOG Ltd. as a company from Cyprus to Poland (legally speaking our Cypriot GOG and Polish GOG are merging into one GOG located in Poland), and this should happen with the end of October. This whole endeavor requires a lot of paper work, mostly legal and financial, and time. It won’t affect your rights as users in any way, and you don’t have to do anything when the merger is done. There is one change that will happen, and we want to give you a heads up about it. Since we’re merging, we have to assign all the license agreements with all our partners to GOG located in Poland. We’ve been doing this for a while now, and almost all of them will be assigned. Unfortunately, some partners are very hard to reach, even for us, and since we didn’t manage to get their consents to this assignment we’ll have to remove a few titles from the catalogue until further notice.

Below you’ll find a list of all 15 titles that will be removed from the catalogue on October 31st, at 3 PM UTC. We will be doing everything to get those titles back, but we cannot promise when they will make a return to GOG, so this might be your last chance to buy them, or grab Warsow and AFK The Pirate Bay Away from Keyboard for free!

Titles to be removed on October 31st:

FRACT OSC
Slender The Arrival
Recettear An Item Shop's Tale
Chantelise - A Tale of Two Sisters
Warsow (free)
Mutant Mudds
Dyad
Sokobond
Chronology
Devil's Dare
The Ballads of Reemus: When The Bed Bites
TPB AFK: The Pirate Bay Away from Keyboard (free)

EDIT: Removed Fractured Soul, 99 Levels to Hell and Miasmata from the list as we managed to get consents to those assignments :)

Your links are borked. ;)

*edit* Just a PSA for anyone reading the list: the only game on there I own is Sokobond, which I can highly recommend if you don't own it. Great little game.

Yup, fixed it. Thanks :)
Oh wow. That's a massive removal.
Thank you for the warning, elcook. As with games removed in the past, we'll still continue to have those games downloadable from our shelves, right?
Well, that's what you call transparency. Many thanks elcook.

It's a sad fact that many indie developers - especially bedroom coders - essentially "go under" and disappear off the radar once the long tail of their games has expired. That certainly seems to be the case with Dyad. Carpe Fulgur doesn't look in the best of health either. The Warsow project is essentially dead as I understand it. Renegade Kid is gone. IonFX (essentially a one-man outfit) hasn't updated since 2012, so that's probably a dead-end as well.

I actually don't think that's too bad, all things considered.
It's sad to see all these games removed. I highly recommend Miasmata, an underrated gem !

Not very important releases as far as I can tell, so I don't think I will shed a tear. I have most of those though, but I am not in a hurry to acquire the missing ones.

Good riddance to Slender and Mutant Mudds, I guess? Weren't they infamous examples of the developer/publisher completely abandoning the GOG version, not delivering new updates to them anymore?

My recollection was how in Slender clicking on some "Missing person"-poster on a tree was supposed to start some missing part of the game, but the GOG version never received that missing gameplay part.

Well, the only bigger removal was with Nordic's games.

You also own (or can own with a couple of clicks) TPB AFK: The Pirate Bay Away from Keyboard (free).

I've added it just for curiosity's sake, although I'm really not keen on these gaming documentaries. I struggled to get through Indie Game: The Movie and its intensely unlikeable subjects.
