ClickShake also has an active Twitter (and a GOG account that isn't as active), but I guess when you say "hard to reach", in the case of newer and active devs, they just didn't fully agree on some things, right?

It's always sad to seeing games being removed. All the more when one of them is wishilted item. All we can do is hope that all games will return one day.

Swallow your pride and just do it! Reach out to them on the friggin Steam forums if you have to, that's where most of the indie dev scum hangs out. Hell, only today did I realise that the company behind Slender has an actual community manager by the name of "Community Manager - Denis" that still regularly posts on the Steam forums. So maybe you guys - or some committed goglodyte; I'm looking at you tfishell, I know you have a Steam account! ;P - can reach out to him in a last-ditch attempt to get that latest build here. At least then you'll have exhausted all the possible avenues. It may not look professional, but you owe it to your customers to try everything to give them the best possible product.

Also, the fact that Cinemaware isn't being pulled seems to imply you're still in contact with the rights holders. Then why has the Cinemaware Anthology (that includes all the stuff that gog is selling for $17.97 and much, MUCH more for $9.99) not been released yet? What about that "way they're going to make it up to their customers" - back in 2014? Any word on that?

While you're negotiating with Carpe Fulgur, could you please ask them, why Recettear and Chantelise on GOG don't have Japanese text, while you can easily switch to Japanese on Steam?
I've pestered GOG support about that multiple times in the past and they've tried to contact Carpe Fulgur about that and also failed, so maybe now's a good time to try again? You don't want Steam to offer a better version of the games than GOG, do you? ;)

This is awesome. The odd Cyprus thing was always making me ill at ease, it always made me suspect some shady tax-avoidance trick. The relocation makes it all look a bit clearer and more natural. Even if it's a superficial feel (I don't know the intricacies behind all this), it does give a better image of GOG.

I have to agree to this. Tbh I don't even understand why the GOG users were asked in this thread to not reach out to the devs/publishers to prevent those games from being removed. I simply don't see the downside contacting a developer/publisher as long as we both follow the same goal - keeping their games on GOG. It's not as if we would yell at them or anything. If I would - in theory - tell a dev/publisher that I like the game and I don't want it to be removed from GOG or that I am sad that it will be removed from GOG and ask them if they could help prevent doing this I see no reason why any dev/publisher should be angry about this ... and especially I don't see how any dev/publisher could then be angry at GOG - which is of course what should be avoided. People are sometimes hard to reach and legal contracts need to be signed. This is nobodys fault but imo in theory everybody could help to make this right. Nobody can forbid me to contact a dev when there is (again) a missing update on GOG so why now? Maybe there is something I am missing here?

I was more thinking related to how said publishers have supported the GOG version(s), not whether the games are good or bad.

Slender is one game where I've agreed that maybe GOG should had pulled it from the store because it seems to be incomplete on GOG (the missing part I mentioned) and the publisher was apparently not showing interest to the GOG version anymore (even as much as updating it to the Steam level), and now it will be pulled.

That dev/publisher may be angry at GOG in case of an open approval from GOG: "Yes, reach those devs by yourself". They may see this as GOG trying to use its user base to force them into agreement.

Carpe Fulgur seems to just have forgotten to check their mail, according to their twitter.

How about "HELP us to reach those devs and ask them to contact GOG" - I don't see no pressure here. Also it is not that those devs/publishers were even trying to go away from GOG it's just happening because they could not be reached. Asking the devs if they did know that GOG have to remove their games and ask them to contact GOG if they don't even want that to happen is no pressure and no forcing at all. It all depends on how you ask.

Oh and i just bought chantelise due to the panic and wanted to actually play it for some time now,already installed it.
Really wanted to buy chantelise by waiting maxium until december if a discount shows up soon.But guess i at least gave them more money since i got recettear cheaper on here.
My low cheap buy games run is probably ruined now lol.

See? this should be a thing for every game being removed. Give us a thread saying hey just letting you know this and this is being removed, thanks for the heads up and PLEASE do this for all games that will be removed in the future even if it's just one game or so. Wish this was done for the past 20+ games that was removed without notice...

I agree. Furthermore, I recall a lot of forum users complaining about issues with either their banks or PayPal not accepting payments to Cyprus so perhaps that has something to do with the pending relocation to Poland.

Same here - these kind of announcements should be posted on the front page, in the Headlines. My guess is, the vast majority of GOG members don't even visit the forums.
