Elfen lied and psycho pass are good.

Escaflone, is an old one but a good one; perfect blend of shonin and shojo

Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO) is just hilarious but the anime toned the anime down from the manga

Could you elaborate on Elfen Lied?
I enjoyed the manga but just couldn't stand the first few episodes of the anime.
Does it get better eventually?

Impaler26: I'm currently watching Natsume Yuujinchou.
I like anime about youkai and this one is really good. The series has 4 seasons and there are also 2 OVAs so it should keep me entertained for the next few days. :)

Licurg: Watch Mushishi if you haven't, it's what inspired Natsume .
I have watched Mushishi, it's a great anime. But i doubt that it has inspired Natsume Yuujinchou. ;)

Well, the premise has many similarities . And it was made around when Mushishi ended, so...

Yeah, but Natsume Yuujinchou is about traditional Ayakashi which are in many old japanese stories.
The Mushi in Mushishi are a special kind of "ghostly beings" and they only have a few similarities with Ayakashi so i think the 2 anime don't have that much in common.

There are other anime about Ayakashi like Mokke etc. which are more like Natsume Yuujinchou IMO.

omega64: Reading 20th century boys again.
Wish it had an anime.
Well, it does have a trilogy of live-action-movies. I've only seen the first one, but I liked it well enough. The whole trilogy is available in the UK as far as I know, so there is a possibility to get your hands on an English language version.

Yeah, I don't really want to watch a live action version of it. :P
Thanks for informing me though.

Never tried Elfen or Escaflowne. Watched part of the first episode of Psycho Pass, but I didnt find it interesting.

I had good fun watching GTO though. A good series. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be many other good comedic series these days (Gintama is funny, but their latest reboot was not much to my liking)

Ever tried Seto no Hanayome or otherwise called My Bride is a Mermaid. That stuff is too funny, yet i still survived.
No, but I am enjoying Monster Mastsune: Everyday Life With a Monster Girl.

Psycho pass gets better as you go on as the main villain is a hybrid of Moriarti and V in a world that is a mix of A Scanner Darkly and Minority Report.

Deadman Wonderland is great too, but the anime was cancelled mid way so t ends reather abruptly.

Future Diary is also a good one, with an ending you wont see coming

Try Gintama if you want a laugh!

Personally i'm a huge fan of monogatari series by Shaft so i recommend these too. (Your brain might need a lil bit of adjustment to the way the anime works though xD)

Gintama is pretty intimidating considering how many episodes it has.

Meh, Gintama is one of those animes in which it doesn't matter if u start from episode 101 or 1st because it has close to zero plot development.
Really, there's no commitment needed to it so no need to feel intimidated :D
