Ugh, Higurashi is getting a new dvd/blu ray release.
They're so expensive though.

It often is. Personally I think you're better off streaming them. :)

Yeah, I don't really like streaming though. :P
Normally download stuff but wanted to buy Higurashi due to it being one of the first Anime I watched/loved.
Was planning to buy Jojo's Bizarre Adventure no matter the price but I can't find anything at all, only dvd's containing 3 episodes a piece and no english subtitles.

well, genon went out of business while it was being released IIRC, the release was generally a mess and wasn't really successful enough for anyone to bother licensing/dubbing the rest.

now it's probably just a quick and dirty sub release, and it's probably about the same price as other sentai releases, but I thought they were actually releasing higurashi/kai/rei

and at the very least it's not aniplex prices either

$49.99 for Season 1 subbed and dubbed.
$59.99 for Season 2 only subbed.

It's a shame that Season 2 never got dubbed, it was weird switching after finishing season 1.
Haven't seen anything concerning Rei.

I'm currently watching <span class="bold">Natsume Yuujinchou</span>.
I like anime about youkai and this one is really good. The series has 4 seasons and there are also 2 OVAs so it should keep me entertained for the next few days. :)

WBGhiro: Did anyone here like Overlord? For some reason that show really clicked with me, i binge watched it in one day and got into the LN soon after and it's even better (Manga is kind of average). Even One Punch Man (also Madhouse) couldn't dethrone it as my favourite anime of the year, and had to settle for second place.
Im still in the middle of watching it, but Overlord is a really good series, and its been quite some time since I've seen a worthwhile anime. I have finished watching 9 episodes of this series. I have never read a LN; Did you read an english translated version of this LN? Any suggestions for other good anime series?
