Is there anything from the last two seasons that's worth watching? Harem/moe stuff is not for me, and it seems like a lot of recent anime is pandering to that demographic. Admittedly I've been out of the loop for awhile, so I might have missed something here.
I finally saw "Grave of the Fireflies" after having it in my dvd library for oh 5+ years. Wow that movie is hella depressing. Very good emotional drama film though. I definitely do recommend to check out at least once. Even if its not the genre you normally don't watch, definitely recommend checking it out.

Thank you Kyubey. My inner conflict has been resolved. I still hate you with a passion though.
Last Exile is one of my favorites I recommend it whole heartily. Also if you are looking for something different try JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

try mecha anime. but that genre has become extremely cliched lately and full of contrived braindead plots and characters. i'm a mecha fan, and i prefer harem these days.

oh right recommending Gatchaman Crowds(& Insight) AKA if "social" keyboard warriors were actually useful instead of being complete asshats.

Yeah. The industry seems to have run out of new ideas, or at least money to fund new ideas. For someone who remembers watching classic anime in the 90s on bootleg subbed VHS tapes, it's pretty depressing to see another batch of rehashes and knock-offs and underage smut (who designed that Gatchaman character third from right?!) shoveled out every season. I liked Terror in Resonance and Ping-Pong a few seasons ago, admittedly, but even those were outliers. Hopefully there's a resurgence of interesting shows soon.

ahahah. the MC is a highschool girl with giantic boobs, and you complain about the bigger jailbait? if it makes you feel any better, almost everyone in that picture is either fabulously gay or implied to be gay. that's progressive rite?
Finished Now and Then, Here and There, and I have to make a small addendum to what I said earlier - the last 3 episodes are great. Everything before that (except the first episode) were an above-average build-up to an excellent ending. Would warmly recommend .
Just finished the 14th episode of Welcome to N.H.K . This is a surprisingly good anime .
I am watching Log Horizon atm, almost finished the 2nd season. before that, I've watched DanMachi. Both are very good recommandations if you like Sword Art Online
Overlord looks like it might end up like Log Horizon or worse. too damned slow-paced.
Just finished Welcome to NHK . Excellent anime, the funniest I've seen since Apocalypse Zero, but with some very deep and thoughtful parts .

Gonna watch something called Voices of a Distant Star next . It's really short, 25 minutes, but it's supposed to be good.
Finished Voices of a Distant Star. Not sure what they were trying to do with that thing, but they failed... Gonna watch Jormungand next .
Finished watching the first season of Code Geass recently. It's not bad, but I preferred s-CRY-ed so far. Maybe R2 will improve my opinion.

huN73R: Does Hunter x Hunter get better? I have seen up to 5 episodes but it seems plain and routine.

huN73R: Bump
Pfff, this is probably in my top 3 series if not at the top. I love the characters, and the series is always moving forward. How is this a plain and routine series?
