Thankfully I have watched more Anime than that.

Deadman Wonderland is an interesting little action anime with some cool visuals.
I absolutely loath Attack on Titan, one of the worst animes I have ever seen (apart from the kinetic visuals, the characters are so paper thin).
Gantz
The Devil's a Part Timer
Cyborg 009

This is to just name a few.
Deadman Wonderland was pretty good, too bad it never got finished though.
Sci-Fi

Neon Genesis Evangelion
Psycho-Pass
Code Geass
Aldnoah Zero
Steins;Gate
Angel Beats (could be considered supernatural)
.Hack//Sign

Fantasy

Yona of the Dawn
Claymore
Berserk
11 Eyes
Naruto Shippuden
Utawarerumono

Mystery

Higurashi No Naku Koro NI
Umineko No Naku Koro NI
Danganronpa
Blast of Tempest (Zetsuen no Tempest) (Has a unique magical system)

These are some of the best I've seen so far in their respective categories. I highly recommend Yona of the Dawn and Psycho-Pass in particular because the former has many elements in its story that can appeal to many people, which include great fight scenes, deep character development, complex romance, unstable politics, adventure, whether to take revenge or not, and friendship. And Psycho-Pass is a more interesting look on the Law and Justice compared to Death Note. It really challenge's the viewers morals and what constitutes a crime and the mindset of a criminal.

As of this posting I'm watching an anime called Shuffle! which is based off a visual novel and does a harem anime right, by giving characters backgrounds and actual reasons for liking the main protagonist that are slowly revealed throughout the anime.
After 18 years we finally have a new Dragon Ball series.
"Dragon Ball Cho" will premiere on Fuji TV and other channels in July on Sundays at 9:00 am.

Licurg: You ever watched Blue Gender ?

dragonbeast: in all honesty, I've never even heard of it
It was interesting, but not a must-watch anime IMO. Post-apocalyptic, weird-critters-killing-off-humanity, a lot of it was fairly typical of the genre.

Elmofongo: What have you watched so no one will pick ones you already did see?
avatar
dragonbeast: here are some i have watched, probably forgetting a bunch

FMP! + FMP! TSR + FMP! fumoffu?!
Gurren Lagann
Gundam 00
Evangelion
Eureka 7
Aldnoah 0
Gundam Wing is pretty good, and a bunch of the other bigger Gundam series. But avoid the one that's basically an excuse to hold tournaments between horrible ethnic stereotypes, it was really bad - was it Gundam Build Fighters?

Really like neon genesis evangelion made your top list ^^ At first it looks like another usual mecha/sci-fi genre, but in the end we just realized that this anime is all about total craziness.

hell, those evas not even a mecha at all :)))

anyway, for another fellow looking for sci-fi genre recommendation, try Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex
Did a little browse-through the thread and didn't see:

s-CRY-ed (MUST SEE!!!)
Future Boy Conan
Ranma series (oh there it is)
Macross
Slayers (all of them!)
Flame of Recca
BASTARD!!!

I was also surprised how much I liked RIN.
Currently at episode 7 of Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin . It's excellent, probably gonna make it to my top 10 if the rest of it is like what I've seen so far .

G Gundam is one you're thinking of. It was a big departure from the other Gundam series and is much more reminiscent of Dragonball or Yu Yu Hakusho since it's all about individual fighters with semi-magical powers in fighting tournaments, just with giant robots added. It is kind of fun to watch if you enjoy the corny "Believe in Yourself" dialogue and themes.

It may have been mentioned already, but FLCL is a short, four episode anime that nothing short of crazy awesome, emphasis on the crazy. I haven't watched much anime or sought out new shows in a while, but I still rewatch that one because of how I've never seen anything like it.

FLCL has 6 episodes, just sayin'. :P

I watched the first few episodes and wasn't impressed. The metaphors were fairly obvious, and a lot of it seemed like weirdness for weirdness' sake. Nothing innately wrong with that, but also nothing innately right.
Is there any site that sell anime digitally? Like how GoG sell movie digitally?

I can't find anything like that, And site like Funimation that sells DVD and streaming services its trailer say this video is not available in your region.
Finished Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin yesterday . Amazing anime, one of the best I've ever seen .
