Something like Kissxsis, perhaps.

Or the legendary Ladies versus Butlers specials.

But I do get what he had in mind - much of the nudity in Kill la Kill doesn't seem sexual, but more like a celebration of the human body and getting rid of the evil clothes. For example, the skimpy battle suit of the main heroine has an in-universe explanation for its design, but we all know very well that it was just to look good for us, the viewers :)
I really liked KlK despite its flaws, but you will get much more enjoyment of it if you know at least a little about the older things that inspired it, like Cutey Honey, Blazing Transfer Student, or even the little things like Marvel Comics properties :)

you can also see clear gurren lagann in KlK which is no surprise since many people who worked on gurren lagann worked on KlK

You got my point, but the explanation part in series universe you mentioned, where was it and also what was it? Looks like I wasn't paying attention, I just thought it was done for sake of comic effect.

using as little contact surface between body and kamui as possible, its powers could be used to full extent without controlling the user

Oh, thanks for clarifying my doubt. :)
I'm reading all this and the selection seems good, what do you all think about sci-fi anime. Apart from bebop and gits, what are the best ones to represent the sub genre?

I would have said Ergo Proxy if it didn't have fillers in last 8 episodes. I quit it with about 3 or 4 more episodes to go.

Planetes, Legend of the galactic heroes, Gunbuster, Noein, Dennou Coil. Welcome to the space show.

I enjoy reading Kissxsis. Please don't hate me. :P
this season? PUNCHLINE! for contrived mystery plot, sight-gags and panties.

Exactly, thank you, it was explained in one of the first episodes when Ryuko had her own doubts about the outfit :)

As for sci-fi, except for the ones already mentioned (although I hated Gunbuster) I would definitely recommend Space Dandy. I also really liked Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou and Eve no Jikan - both are slice of life stories about androids and gynoids; and Baoh the Visitor, based on the previous work of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's author (and it is truly bizarre).

Oh, now I remembered - Knights of Sidonia, while kind of ugly because of CG, is really nice as well.
