I'm a bit dissapointed in Miss Kobayashi's Dragon maid so far, the way it got so popular I thought there was more to it. It's still a throughly ok anime. I just don't understadn where all the hype comes from.

Little Witch Academia is everything I wanted it to be so far, and criminally underrated. I wonder if it's the name that turns people off.

VeTrack: Is it just in Chapter #38, as MiKiL had mentioned, or more than that?
I haven't gotten to Lala's entry in the official translation yet. But in the spin-off books she talks like that in every appearance.

VeTrack: Oh, and I have some good news for you. Overlord S2 is 99.999% confirmed.
I am very very happy. I wonder how much it will cover, I kind of hope they'll cut the lizardmen chapters down a bit it so they can get to something more meaty.

VeTrack: Confusing yet? rofl...
Oh boy, I wonder who thought just swapping names around would eb a good idea.
Been doing something else so I can probably take a crunchyroll "marathon" pretty soon.

These kind of Japanese collaboration videos are just great. X-)

Nice news, Kino's Journey is getting new anime project and manga adaption.
I liked the old tv-series and been looking to buy those ps2 visual novels. Light novels was on my radar too but Tokyopop had problems pushing english translation in those days so they only got 1st volume published and got cancelled.

And yeyy, one EMS-package arrived today bringing two big boxes. :-) (Memorial Edition ones)

Just watched Gantz: 0 (Gantz: O?) today. It was epic! And the animation looked really impressive. Certain body parts had... interesting animation, you could say ;). Has anyone else watched the movie and read the Manga? I hear it's filled to the brim with gore and nudity. I don't mind the nudity, but what level of gore are we talking about, compared to the movie? If I found the movie's gore okay, would I still find the manga stomach churning?

I just like Miss K's Dragon Maid for the cute characters and lighthearted, comedic feel. Hmm, I think Little Witch Academia may make people assume... certain things, y'know. Or at least, it's making me assume... certain things.

Sure I guess that's what most people like about it, but it's not really a unique set of qualities for an anime to have, and not even the one that did it best so far. Maybe the Dragon-maid combo is the secret afterall.

If you phrase it like that it sounds even worse... Basically i'd describe it as Harry Potter but a whole lot better.

Hmm, I don't know jack about Harry Potter, but I know it's highly regarded, so maybe I should look into this show next.

It'll end at Vol.6 most likely, bit of a stretch to cover all the way till Vol.9 and it's at least 1 year+ away so there's still quite a wait to go.

Nice, same ones as those in the 10th Anniversary Box? Btw, have you seen this MMD reproduction of KF?

JK41R4: Gantz: 0 (Gantz: O?)
That's O for Osaka and it's already been toned down. Gantz isn't for everybody, or most people even. It deals with very mature, dark themes and I'm not just talking about the usual sex and gore... Damn, its manga ran for so long and had so much potential, but its ending just wasn't on par... It was such a wasted opportunity. It also had anime and live-action, which are different from the manga. All of them are self-contained and of course, toned down. Then there's the female spin-off which just isn't good. Some of the early art were wrong even, a corpse's limbs in the background were drawn bent in one direction on one panel but in a different direction on another. If not for the same name, I wouldn't be reading it.

Anyway, watch this interview with the AoT director while you wait for its S2.

You forgot about the loli. She beats all combo and eats them. ;)

Yes, these are same all-age versions. :-) That Memorial Box would be nice to have too but prices for second-hand ones are way too high (at least in ebay).

That MMD reproduction is quite well made, sometimes it just amazes what people create with MMD (other than typical dancescenes).

Hmmm... how toned down would you say Gant: O is compared to the manga? I might look at it, but I just want a better idea of what to expect. At least they kept the tit monster. :)

Ehh, I'm not too keen on the loli really. I mean, cute little girls are, well cute and all, but the... sexual (?) themes aren't something I'm into.

That's why i'm hoping that 4 will be cut a bit short. Volumes 5 through 7 are definitely those I want to see animated the most. On the other hand if we're getting a half season again I'm also okay if they spend as much time on 5 and 6 as possible.

That might be it actually, i thought it was really strange that Kanna got so much love even by more casual watchers who might usually be turned off by such characters. but yeah she's a cute little devourer of things.

I think you're the first peson I've seen who ddn't care much about her, JK41R4.
I just finished watching the sequel series to Last Exile. It was definitely not as good as the original but it was enjoyable other than some of its preachy leanings. I was kind of disappointed that they used a significantly different voice for a certain returning character who appears as captain of one of the prominent ships and I wish they showed more detail about another returning character thought to have been killed in the original series.

Other than that, the action was good and I liked how they went into some detail about the state of Earth and the nations that now exist.
Episode 8 of Little Witch Academia is the greatest thing I've seen in a while, thank you Trigger.

Trigger?... Aren't they the Kill la Kill people? Okay, now I definitely have to watch LWA!

MiKiL: Spice & Wolf in light novel-format is good reading too. Anime was nice but it only covers the story to 5th book and just ended there. Plot is pretty much focused on economics, trading and peddling instead of normal sword and magic so this might turn some people off.
World End Economica is a VN game on Steam from the writer of Spice & Wolf. Can't say whether it is good or not, since I haven't gotten around to it. Figured you might want to know about it.

Remember seeing a short 1 episode independent animation of it several years ago and wishing it got a whole anime series. Just now thought its alittle like Harry Potter because you said people might assume but really didn't think of that before due how that anime feels unique. Need to catch up with Little Witch Academia now that KonoSuba 2 is over unless all anime now default to 10 episodes per season.
