MiKiL: It does have comedic tone but it doesn't go overboard.
I'm bad at analyzing but I hope this helps a bit. X-)
avatar
VeTrack: Nah, you're good.

JK41R4, it is comedy. Just don't come complaining if you don't find it funny. =P
Meh, so long as the tone is comedic or light-hearted I guess, I prefer that to more serious or "mature" tones. It's one of the many reasons I love One Punch Man.

VeTrack: And about Clannad. If anybody wants to watch something with the feels, Clannad is as good a choice as any.
as the picture shows I have a spot for anime that hits you hard in the feels ^_^ I used to have a pretty big collection but shrunk it down to just the stuff I always go back too. and Gundam 08th ms team is coming out soon and that is my fav of the gundam franchise.

I love how the weeabo section starts right after Dredd and saving private ryan with romance dramas. You could have put at least some action anime inbetween to relieve the contrast a bit, lol.
I've just finished inu x boku and really, i was about to give it a low score as it was very schematic and simply borring but damn, those last 2 episodes.

Don't worry, plenty of that and then some.

Oh, so they're going to be re-released as Blu-ray?

Touwa: I've just finished inu x boku
If you're interested, go read the manga. It's her last completed work.... I guess most people wouldn't know this but the author, Cocoa Fujiwara, died back in 2015. She was only 31.

LOL I know well a majority of my action shit was in DVD format and I sold them all and getting them at mid year when the sales kick in. like I said a lot of my gundam shit is gone and Jin-roh, Akira and Gungrave, Trigun, stuff like that I need to pick up in HD now. It's a slow process cause importing bluray from America is death here in canada with out dollar being at 77 cents worth -_-.

chevkoch: Cel shading? Maybe it's used in such subtle ways that I can't see it?
avatar
VeTrack: Depending on how you look at , the tentacle might be the more obvious one or maybe it's the mech. If you look at [url=http://i.imgur.com/PzpQJp8.png]this, the core should be very apparent. But I can understand where you're coming from, I've seen some that are really well done before.
Yeah, the core, I can see it now ;)

yeah every single gundam show that has a japanese release on blu ray we will get here as a re release with all the bonus content. that is what rightstuf stated when they got the licenses from bandai 2 years ago. so thank the lord for that.
I actually caved in and bought the Monster Girl Encyclopedia.

I resisted the basic bitch anime girls. I resisted the 1000 year old lolis. And I even held my ground against the Ara Ara~ Milfs.

But now I have to concede defeat. You win Japan, I will never breed.

It's a conspiracy I tell you they started out subtle with Spice and Wolf and Catgirls here and there and before you realize it you're already watching Monster Musume without questioning it.

Monster Girl Encyclopedia... so, it is a thing that exists... I think I want it.

Next thing to buy: Miia dakimakura that is 7 meters long? X-)
I guess that Okayado brought monster girls back to bigger audience around 2008 when he made those now classic one-page stories. I think that Hyper Police by MEE was quite good at monster-stuff at it's own time, anime was bit 'meh' compared to manga. :)
There's an ongoing vote at NHK for Best Anime as part of Anime's 100th Anniversary and the interim results are... strange.

30. Sword Art Online

Putting aside the weird decision to separate anime by season and allowing the same series to hold onto multiple spots, this is supposed to be a ranking for the Best Anime out of 100 years of Anime! Definitely have mixed feelings about this and I fully expect some significant changes before it is over, unlike the TAAF's.

For those interested, you can vote here. Though it's more complicated than before as they'll ask for your demographic and reasons behind your selection. If anybody does go through with it and has trouble with translating, just let me know.

Why stop there? I wonder if they'll make a daki with detachable head for Dullahans

Looking at that list I can only quote Miyazaki "Anime was a mistake". There's something cooky going on in these twitter polls.
