UnrealQuakie: what do you guys think of free crap from cereal now days? I sure as hell miss the old days with PC games in my box like roller coaster tycoon and tonka truck games and hotwheels games that came with my damn Cap'n Crunch >:(
I, actually, don't buy too many sugary cereals these days (granola's better anyway) but I *do* remember when companies like Atari and Disney allowed cereal manufacturers to distribute some of their leftover shovelware titles. Being able to try out classics like Rollercoaster Tycoon, Monopoly & Boggle was nice and the Disney & Tonka titles kept my niece and nephew busy for a while.

To get away with that these days, companies like Post & General Mills would need something a little 'deeper' than Chex Quest or a certain Crunchling Adventure (although, admittedly, those were mildly entertaining in their own right). ^_^

As for your comic book conundrum, I would suggest e-mailing Post for more information. If you aren't able to download the comic that's being promoted (even through browsers like Firefox and Opera), it's false advertising. Check their Terms of Use first, though, to be on the safe side.

LongitudinalThrust: Yes Canadian breakfast giveaways are in a sorry state. Todays generation will never know the thrill of getting shitty cartoonish toy crossovers. But who are we really kidding? There was nowhere to go but downhill after 1996 .
Any (Triple-A/indie) programming team that is able to capture the 'joys' of (60s-90s) childhood in a PC/console game deserves more than recognition.

Then again, the workings of developing minds on a sugar overdose and cathode radiation can be an enigma in themselves.

*remembers some of the crazy adventures that he & his toys went on*
so cereals may have gone to shit but you know what I realized recently? the crap they get in the kinders is way better than what we got. in one way. remember when we got them we'd get some little truck or something in them, or a little monkey? you had to build it, and it was a bit finicky, but that was it. I saw a michelangelo ninja turtle complete with little nunchucks come out of one recently. you didn't have to build him, he was in two pieces and mostly because he probably wouldn't have fit otherwise, but still, they have frigging licensed well detailed action figures now. there are ninja turtles in them now.

laraza1703: Have you Screenshots from this Comics?

I have all comics from the mcu movies, and this is the only one i missing..
Your best bet would be to try and find it on a torrent site. File trading (edit: outside of purchased games) isn't something normally allowed around here.

Good luck

edit: And yes I know this thread is a year old.

I can confirm, the kinder stuff is thousands of times better than it used to be. My nieces got the attached beauties about a month or two before this thread started... yes, nieces.... what? Quite a bit more than two pieces, but they fit together pretty slick and it takes some effort to get them apart. They even made the egg bit dino themed. I was impressed.

You hear that CD Projekt? I think the man just issued a CHALLENGE !

If Chex Quest taught us anything it's that all you need to do is re-skin a great game. Replace Geralt with Lucky the leprechaun and all the monsters will spoilt kids trying to steal his Lucky Charms. An oversized four-leaf clover to replace his silver sword and a shillelagh to replace his steel sword. Magic would obviously be themed after the most iconic Lucky Charms marshmallows; purple horseshoes, orange stars, yellow moons, pink hearts and green clovers. Potions and ingredients would also need to be re-skinned to match all the marshmallows.

Granted some scenes throughout the game would be a little awkward, but everyone needs to have the "birds and bees" talk with their kids at one point or another and who better to start the conversation than a short irishman that's constantly being chased around by little kids? That's some quality 80s style edutainment right there! Someone should start a wishlist.

Brillance!!

Still, anything larger (like a crossover title) might be a little tougher to build but, if it's fun, it's done. ~_^

Considering how many female characters were depicted during the 80s, I don't think that their appearance/clothing will be a problem. ~_^

Plus an audience with, say, Queen Frostine need not be boring, iykwim. It's where the 'sweets' are endless, after all. ^_^

Someone should start a wishlist.
Already taken care of, in a way... ^_^
LOL This is still going on? By the way They gave me the whole set of all the comics in PDF on email for the trouble I went through, so I won. but that was MONTHS ago haha

It *is* good to hear that the incident was resolved to your (and, no doubt, other customers') satisfaction. ^_^

Still, it will be interesting to see what the additional posts will evolve into (should future visitors have a chance to reread this thread).

The more innovative and entertaining (DRM-free, microtransaction-free) titles that are available, the better. ^_^

Let the good times roll (over the *bad* ones...with satisfying crunches and/or shrieks). *evil grin*

I am from austria, and i search since month this comic?

Can you contact me please?
I have the feeling, that in the near future Disney is going to own/run everything.

Sadly, I belong to the minority that doesn't like Disney.

Comics as *.pdf's?

Bah....

Real comic fans read their comics in *.cbr's.

:)

I changed my name a good few times and for some reason I could not decide on UnrealQuakie... I had DreamedArtist for 10+ Years but changed it to UnrealQuakie wanting change but that did not do well and did not feel it so I went back to DreamedArtist and Maybe just maybe might change it to something over time when I can come up with something that sticks like DreamedArtist does.

When everything goes digital and you cant own anything anymore we will look back to this and cherish everything we own that is physical like books and cards and movies and music cd's.

Books being one big thing for me.

I have to rephrase this, I'm not more against Disney taking everything over than any other huge corporation.
