Linus Tech Tips showing quite a huge saving on Ryzen prices compared to Intel equivalent processors.

"In Theory: How AMD's Ryzen will disrupt the gaming CPU market "

Ryzen 7 1800X 8/16 3.6GHz 4.0GHz 4.0GHz+ $495
Ryzen 7 1700X 8/16 3.4GHz 3.8GHz 3.8GHz+ $389
Ryzen 7 1700 8/16 3.0GHz 3.7GHz - $319
Ryzen 5 1600X 6/12 3.3GHz 3.7GHz 3.7GHz+ $259
Ryzen 5 1500 6/12 3.2GHz 3.5GHz - $229
Ryzen 5 1400X 4/8 3.5GHz 3.9GHz 3.9GHz+ $199
Ryzen 5 1300 4/8 3.2GHz 3.5GHz - $175
Ryzen 3 1200X 4/4 3.4GHz 3.8GHz 3.8GHz+ $149
Ryzen 3 1100 4/4 3.2GHz 3.5GHz - $129

Definitely a huge saving compared to Intel where some of theirs cost over $1k.

Perhaps we'll finally get some real competition, rather than Intel dribbling their usual "Ooh look, 15% boost compared to our last CPU, which was also 15% on the previous..." & so on.

Now all we have to wait for are proper benchmarks/real world tests & then news of the newer gfx cards which are due out soon, but if their cards are anything like how good the RX series are, wowsers! 8D

P.S. Rumours of an RX580 already.

What I'm hoping too.

15%? More like 5%.
I am very VERY happy to see amd hitting the intel pro line of CPU's . Now I know what my next build will be at in the future when amd kicks this with upgrades and finally 8 core and 16 threads is what the standard should be. F#$ this 4 core shit that intel is forcing on people...

once my 6700k build is 4 years in I will consider upgrading unless I can manage to save some extra money then maybe 2 years tops to upgrade to this beast of a cpu for my Zbrush and autocad programs. AH MAN! :)
If this image is right, it shows AMD are definitely ahead of Intel.

triock: 15%? More like 5%.
Sheesh, was it really that low?
I thought it was bad, but hadn't realised how bad.

as a content creator this is huge and I hope intel shits themselves and drops prices for competition but knowing intel that wont happen... but I feel happy for AMD I did miss my 1090T 6 core back in the day by them <3

multi core seems to be strong for coding and rendering large file sizes so thumbs up and hope my boss buys me one for our work rigs.
My thought seeing how many cores these have was also that they are probably good for work.
Looks good, i'm due for a new board/cpu soon.

I just hope we actually get the equivilant of those prices here in Canada, the pricing of the RX series graphic cards are horrible here. Pretty much double the USD plus tax in most cases unless you can get a really good sale.

You're not the only one thinking that Intel won't alter their prices, loads on other forums/reddit etc are stating the same.
If they don't though & these Ryzen are as good as they seem, especially at this price, Intel are shooting themselves in the foot big time.
Cool, but I already bought a 6600K one year ago.
However, now I need a new GPU + monitor.. AMD, hurry up!!
Does it have AMD TrustZone or some other low level hardware DRM built in?
Does it support ECC for Desktop??! That would be a dream!

It does! Hyped!!

What do they cost over there?
I just got an XFX GTR RX480 for around £235/CAD 384.46ish. Absolutely stunned what a card this price is capable of.

Vega us due out soon, RX580 rumours are flying about too (equivalent of 1070 apparently).
If fine with 1080p, RX480 is perfect for that.
