There's nothing even like this in all of Gaming History. This is unreal.

You must be new to the industry if you think this is the biggest epic fail. Even if they lost every single player today it's probably still close to a financial success with 25+ million sales, even if it didn't turn out to be a lasting MMO.

I guess if we're comparing to the most epic MMO's ever then it could be considered an Epic fail but that's competing with the absolute top of MMO's. Many MMO's would've killed for a ... currently 35k playerbase?

It's a shame how the game turned out but it went way beyond my expectations for a first attempt at least. It's not like their games even need to be financial success stories. They just need to pump out games to create their own stock of games so even breakeven games with some playerbase or something they can build on for a potentially better sequel will already provide more meat for exclusives in a cloud service of their own
