It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hmmm, PS3/ PS4?
Are they successors of the PS2 port?
Do people still use these ports for their keyboards & mice?

Why not use USB, are you living under a rock or something?

ps. USB is an amazing upgrade, you should try it. ;)

I did, but the fact that the connectors appear symmetrical but aren't on the inside killed it for me.

DyNaer: The question is , do you have enough RAM to download the extra RAM ? :P
You could download it compressed. As long as the RAM is empty, it should compress pretty well.

Now i'm reminded of a few of the videos where they showed how to compress like 4GB of data to this tiny size, which only works if all the bytes are identical...

LOL.

But there's another word for that: Micro-SD ;-)

You may need to disable your anti-virus, however; it compresses so well that your anti-virus may flag it as a decompression bomb.

(On a more serious note, some Linux Live CDs contain what anti-virus sees as a decompression bomb; that's because those live CDs contain a compressed image file containing the OS that is made writable with some device mapper trickery. If you are interested in how this works, see:

truhlik: And is DRM free?
avatar
toxicTom: Seems like it. I've downloaded 32 GBytes and didn't notice any catch.
Bad thing is, it's DDR4 whereas my motherboard can handle DDR3 only.

Would someone know where I can download a new motherboard?
is there also a place to upload the old mainboard, ram and other hardware?

I'd much prefer to use SquashFS for the readonly images of the drives, i've loved the FS since i saw it back in... 2002?

Still i'll have to read through that link given.

It actually does use SquashFS; it's just that the SquashFS filesystem contains a single large file, which is then made writeable with device mapper trickery and then mounted.

Of course, the other common technique is to use SquashFS with a union file system, which other Linux distributions (like Debian) use in their live CDs.

That's good. Last i remember they were still compressing the raw images and using a loopback device with -cloop to denote it was compressed so it would decompress on the fly.

As for the writeable trickery, i have a basic understanding of how it should work, mostly layering the filesystem or having a COW (Copy On Write) configuration allowing you to save changes.

Abandon ware?
Thanks for the reminder, i still intend to get stuff from him/them at some point...
Amazing is right. My ps3 turned in to a cool brick. I can use it as a paperweight without almost any v-sync issues.

i got a pillz-e puppet from his store last year, its great. but sadly the foamy puppets are sold out :(

rtcvb32: Watched the video. As 'Informative' as he seems to be, it's quite obvious it's a joke video since the OS is compiled for different hardware and just wouldn't work :P Not to mention the PS3 keys were hacked/available for a while and they would likely be using different digital signing keys...
You mean apart from the fact that his channel description starts with this?
I'm Joe and I usually make technology humor videos. On my channel you'll find absolutely absurd tutorials that may look real, but are not (that's the joke!).
