gargus: Free........but on epic. That's like getting a free hamburger but the bun is made out of shit.
Well you can add it to your Epic account, no need to actually download it now.
Maybe they will have some DRM-free download option in the future and you can download it then. Maybe GOG does Epic Connect in the future or something. Unlikely, but anything can happen. If not, then it really doesn't matter whether you have claimed those games or not, you don't lose a single cent.

That's how I feel about Epic. I have claimed almost all of their free game offers, but I have never even downloaded their client.

XzAr_79: In this Christmas time Epic is giving a free title every day. I've already taken Pillars of eternity definitive edition, Tiranny gold edition and of course Alien.
I know that they're not drm-free, but for now I really don't care.
Apparently Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny (from Epic) are actually DRM free.

Tim Sweeny is pushing for the ability to buy one platform and play on another, but the main sticking point will be the publishers.

I can't see SEGA going DRM free

There was a good number of older console titles on DotEmu back when it existed, so it's not completely impossible.

But any more recent game, yes unlikely.
I have just recently been forced to use some "alternative methods" to get Shenmue running on a computer with no Steam client, so they really could improve a lot with DRM stuff for sure.

I think the same way. In any case you have for free some really good titles.
Since thursday it looks like they are giving away a new game for free every day.

Though unlike GoG, you can't claim a game you already own and get a coupon for it (that i know of). Though more than once there's a free game of what they already gave away, so it wouldn't be too surprising you could catch up eventually on all the free paid games.
Here's a leaked list I found earlier today concerning Epic's free games:

I checked it before Metro was announced, so I'm assuming it's legit.... for now.

The leak has been right these past days, too. I am certain it's legit.
Also, GOG is giving out Brigador with its excellent soundtrack.
Hot. Best thing GOG has done this month, for sure.
I'll wait until GOG acquires it before I try it.

Looking out for Jurassic World Evolution , but I'm guessing it will be DRMed too.
It's from Sega, it's DRM'd. That's not free.

That's an exaggeration. You won't play it but it's still free. I don't get to keep an installer and play the game as I want, and they don't get my money. I get to play it until the end all the times I want until EGS exists. And for free. When there is a DRM-free option, I can buy it if I want. There's no hidden costs. DRMed but still free. I'm actually happier of giveaways that are games that are not DRMfree or not on GOG as I get to play something I wouldn't normally buy.
Same as the critic for the game being old and cheap before. Yes, but not here so I wouln't likely buy it. And old is good :)
Also a great way to try games that are less appealing to me for any reasons but I can find out I like them and rebuy them on GOG when I get the chance. Or not, if I didn't like them, so I can stop hoping for them to be on GOG.
I don't like DRM but how does it make a free game paid? It's absurd. Especially when there's no microtransactions, no hidden cost, nothing.
