The Sega game Alien: Isolation is free on Epic store for today as part of their 15-days/15-games Christmas offer.

I haven't checked it yet, so I don't know if it's DRM free. If it is, here's hoping it eventually comes to GOG.

To the ones on the fence about this, grab it! It's a brilliant stealth game. Loved every bit of it.
According to the link below, Alien: Isolation has DRM, sadly.

Free........but on epic. That's like getting a free hamburger but the bun is made out of shit.

Besides who really cares? It's an old game. I bought it for like 5 bucks on ps4 a year ago and it's been on a ton of humble bundles with other games for like 1 dollar that redeemed on steam.

Hard to get excited over a game that's old and has been dirt cheap on a lot of platforms for a while now.

At the moment it says Unknown on that list. Same on the game's page.

Tested, and it does

Seems SEGA's DRM stick is shoved firmly up there.

I wouldn't super argue with that, but I've had dealings with Epic and I'm not dissatisfied. I got a ton of free games and I played some of them and it's all good. If they took everything tomorrow it would still be fine.

We don't like your kind here, stranger.
This is an amazing game you should play somehow, for the record. It's not at all an immersive sim really due to lack of stacking boxes and skill trees, but it's still the best System Shock homage ever and also the best representation of a movie world in a game.
In this Christmas time Epic is giving a free title every day. I've already taken Pillars of eternity definitive edition, Tiranny gold edition and of course Alien.
I know that they're not drm-free, but for now I really don't care.
These offers reminds me of Steam in its early years. I still remember I bought Metro 2033 at the incredibble price of 2,33 euros only a few years after it was released.

But like my granddaddy and his granddaddy before him used to say: "Son, if a game ain't DRM-free, then it's the wrong kind of free."

What DRM, is it only an epic logon or is it something like denovo?

It sucks that Sega went the way it did since the Dreamcast.

An Epic log on, and from last testing I did Epic allows concurrent use of different games from one account. So as DRM goes its mostly harmless.

But that said, that's how Steam worked for the first 3 years, then they changed it.

DRM isn't just the restrictions you accept today, its a blank cheque for any restrictions they want to add in the future.
