One of the most renowned guitarists in the world, Alexi Laiho, has passed away. The musician, most notably known as the front man of Children of Bodom, died in his home in Helsinki, Finland, last week. Laiho had suffered from long-term health issues during his last years.

What the fuck, dude, I was literally listening to them again a couple of days ago. I just became a fan of the band last year, found out they broke up in 2019, and now Alexi's dead. R.I.P.

I have not heard of this band's latest news, nor did I check them out in quite a while. For last couple of years, like two at least. I am not their fan, they have few excellent songs which I like.

Here is what is funny: I did eventually check them out to see what is going on with them in regards to new studio albums, touring and news in general in December. I read they split up. Then I thought to myself is Alexi Laiho live at all, considering the life he was living. I really had a feeling that he died. And now I see this thread. He brought it up to himself. Now, how come this news came out so late, and how come the cause of death is still classified.

Hey, 2021, stop taking away great artists like your ancestors did.

I still remember how surprised I was when I listened to Something Wild and Hatebreeder albums 20 years ago.

He was a true talent. May he rest in peace.

RIP. I didn't know too much about CoB, but I'm pretty sure I've seen the guy live twice when he joined Impaled Nazarene.

Sad news; he was too young. It was still 2020 when he passed away.
