As you all know The Suffering and The Suffering: Ties That Bind were recently removed from GOG. Even though that's a shame, no tears please. It's a waste of good suffering.

So if you want to suffer you might still have a chance to get both games by participating in this raffle. The rules are simple:

1) Your account should be at least one year old.
2) You should be a regular on the forum.
3) Don't be a troll, scammer, ..., other persona non grata.
4) Clearly state that you are in.
5) Tell me the following: What's your favorite scary movie? And what do you like about it most? In other words: Recommend some good movies to watch for Halloween.

On Oct. 30 I will ask random.org to pick a lucky winner so you can enjoy the suffering on Halloween if you don't like to go trick or treating.

Not in, and its not exactly a scary movie (or at least for some it wont qualify) but its def a horror in many ways and more people should see it. Also quite a bit of suffering.

Not in, but I strongly recommend Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man in its English translation), probably the horror movie I had the most fun watching in my whole life.

John Carpenter had the stars align when he sought to remake The Thing (from Another World). The monster's biology is scientifically sound, enables it to invoke endless paranoia while in disguise, and endless fright when it's discovered and forced to transform in gloriously unpredictable ways. Reason: The first horror movie that I saw was The Shining, which I saw when I was eight because I have parents with hobbies that included making questionable life choices involving their offspring. The one thing that I always found scary wasn't the blood gushing out of the elevator or the ghosts or any of the other supernatural stuff, but Jack Torrance with an axe running around with the intent of murdering his family.

I like Event Horizon and Jacob`s Ladder

Not in, but these two games give you the experience that just can't be missed for any horror fans.
You want ghosts? You want GTA? You want some crazy monsters from Resident Evil?
What about some hidden passages like in Silent Hill?
It has it all.

- Event Horizon. really. it's great. its story, characters, suspense... stuff being logical. mmm...

- Wishmaster 3: Beyond the Gates of Hell. I'm not joking. I love it. it's so hilarious I just can't. my furst time watching it I was laughing non-stop. even though it's supposed to be a horror movie. guess, it was this one that influenced my way to enjoy such dtuff.

I recently watched Longlegs which was a fairly enjoyable thriller horror. And for something more scifi oriented, the Alien franchise movies are a reliable favorite for scifi horror - the newest Alien Romulus in particular was quite enjoyable.

My favorite horror movie is The Fearless Vampire Killers. It is filmed in a unique manner. Comedy, irony and horror are closely intertwined in a single whole. This movie is not like the others. It has an oppressive atmosphere and the unknown that the main characters find themselves in. The film contains typical vampire cliches, but you cannot 100% predict the next development of events if you watch the film for the first time.
