Wow, the devs totally retracted their promise to release a completely uncensored patch. I bet that retraction could cause some legal issues for them if anyone decides to sue them over it. Their Kickstarter backers just got shafted big-time.

I was looking forward to this game but I hate censored games, so now it's a pass.

Also, as for the devs' claims that the game would be banned and they would be sued, those statements require further explanation. Like:

On what platforms would it be banned?

Who would sue them, and on what basis?

Why couldn't they release an Adults Only version of the game and sell it exclusively on their own website? Surely that would not be illegal.

I believe in free speech and treating adults like adults. How is that being an anarchist?

A) don't sign the contract in the first place, given that you know it will ruin your game and result in your Kickstarters being scammed with false promises.

B) release the AO version as a different game with a different title (i.e. MangaGamer does this with some of the VNs that were censored on Steam) on your own website.

I'm not buying their claim that they are going to release the uncensored version on GOG if GOG says they can. If they were able to do that, then they'd also be able to release the AO patch. On the other hand, if one of their contract partners is telling them they can't release the AO patch, then they are also going to forbid them from doing so on GOG.

So yeah, that's definitely another lie from the devs IMO. I think they probably will try to rush out a GOG release of the censored version though because they realized this game is going to flop real hard on Steam due to their lies and are banking on GOG sales as a plan B.

I'm howling.

I don't really blame the devs. They didn't anticipate so many people would get so crying wailing upset over what they wanted to make. They also probably didn't anticipate this would get as much media coverage as it did, which probably had an effect on it. Either way, more strikes to creative freedom. They should try to release the uncensored version on some other platform, where self-appointed moral-gatekeepers don't have as much influence.

EDIT: The reviews are back. It might've been a Steam glitch, however, if they hadn't lied, squirmed & bullshitted so much before, no one would've paid attention to it.

I had my post removed for pointing out the facts about the ratings system in regards to this, too, I was called a liar by the mod in question for suggesting even the the vagina's were removed a day before release, funny that, it made banning me for defending those who were upset owners of the game that much easier. It is damage control city on those forums and the reviews gone now, wow..
