Personally, I prefer the graphics as they are. They're visible, representative and quite pretty considering the time they were made in. Particle effects and fancy eye-candy get in the way in top-down/isometric games, IMO.

I like that game, but unfortunately it's not (yet) at the level of AoE.

cemacar: If you watch the trailer in the end there is just windows 10 logo. And it's mentions xbox multiplayer play(I'm not sure if they are meaning console or platform one) But I'm sure it will be only available for windows 10 as os.
On their site it says:

Cool! Hopefully this has decent pathfinding, better farm mechanics, higher pop count, more advanced commands and formations, more consistent difficulty, more realistic diplomacy, unique music for each campaign and female civilians. A non-linear campaign would be a big plus as well.
