Really GOG, showing me ads for HelloFresh, Wine52 and whatever when redeeming a code?

Ick!

Are you sure it's not something in your browser?

I highly doubt that this is coming from GOG. I just redeemed my code without any ads popping up.
Yeah, this looks like some kind of adware. Check your extensions and run your antivirus program for a scan.
I'm using Safari TP on a Mac.

Unfortunately I have cropped the files to upload here (were too big otherwise), but they were from GOG when I redeemed Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition code. Each one came after the other when clicking "No Thanks"

The only extension I have running, only works on Github.

It is gOg. I just redeemd the Neverwinter code myself, and got an add for a website called Honey. I have no addware on my computer. I don;t care, though, i have no problem gOg gettinging some add income from free games
We could wait for a reply from another user in the UK just to rule out anything about IPs and geolocation, but I also doubt very much that this is related to GOG.
Before redeeming the code, you could have used another browser to see if those ads were also displayed.

Regards IP, it normally is doing masking (Apple's Private Relay), but it is currently off. Have only been using Safari TP on my Mac, or Safari on my iPad.

Ad was only shown AFTER redeeming the code. I seen no other ads on the site. Also first time seeing it.

Dialog does match those on Rokt's customer page.

I had seen something very similar on Cineworld's website post-checkout lol.

I hadn't seen amok's reply, also from the UK...
Your screen shot has "Powered by Rokt" at the bottom-right corner.

If you look up Rokt and Amazon, you will find that Amazon Web Services is one of Rokt's partners.

https://www.rokt.com/aws-partner/

Meaning Amazon gives away free games that they use as a source of advertising revenue. This has nothing to do with GOG, except that Amazon is giving away codes for games sold on GOG.

Lots of us have redeemed codes, either through Doc's giveaway contests (currently on hold due to the sale), The Community Giveaway, or other giveaway contests. Having participated in all of these, I have never once seen a Rokt advert on a code that I redeemed, and that includes the code I redeemed for Dorfromantik that I got from GOG directly from when GOG was doing the giveaway contest. When I purchase games, I do not see Rokt adverts either which includes an order that I made two days ago.

so are you suggesting amazon hacked gOg? because the adds appear on gOg's website, after you redeem the code.

I think it may be isolated to the UK for whatever reason.
I just claimed it - all adblocking things disabled to be sure - nothing like that occurred.

No. I'm suggesting that there's some deal going on here related the codes Amazon gives away that the advertisements need to display..

There's that possibility too. I still think it is somehow related to the Amazon codes because we would have heard about it sooner if it was affecting all UK shoppers and not just ones that are redeeming Amazon gaming codes.
