Hey guys!

So I've been using Steam ever since time immemorial and I just recently started with GOG Galaxy 2.0 and I guess my friends list is quite lonely (with all of my real-life and internet friends are all in Steam). I just found the feature of GOG Galaxy very convenient for tracking all purchases I've made over the course of the years. I was actually surprised for some games that I totally have no idea that I had it in my different game libraries, so big thanks for that!

Anyways, let's connect with each other! (I'll make sure to constantly check on this thread for replies):

While we're also on this thread and we have something to interact about, I want to ask this question - so I recently purchased The Witcher 3 GOTY on its 80% sale for about $9.99 when you create a new GOG account (or I guess after logging in from a very long time). This would be a huge steal comparing it to the price in Steam and GOG Galaxy 2.0's amazing since it has the application integration feature showing that game in the client itself.

So according to Steam, the game has 78 achievements available and I would like to know if the achievement will pop-up real time when I hit play on the game through GOG Galaxy, just like it would if it was played on Steam? Will it also show up on my Profile's Summary in Steam in terms of hours played and achievements? Oh, and does it also have like an FPS overlay just like in Steam?

I'm not looking for GOG friends, but I have a friendly advice - it may be a good idea to edit your email address out, it's not necessary for a friend invite.

+1 to this sound advice.

• Achievements are usually unlocked right away, and you get a popup notification in the top center of the screen. When it comes to The Witcher 3 GOTY specifically, I found it to be one of the most finicky games. Some achievements required following special directions, others only unlocked after I brought up the main menu or map and left the game idle for a few minutes, and one memorable achievement unlocked randomly about 30 minutes after I went off to do something else.
• I don't believe Steam or any major platform shows what you're doing on other platforms.
• Press Ctrl+Shift+Tab for the FPS overlay. It shows in the lower right corner by default. You can change the position under Cog wheel - Settings - Notifications - Position & Volume. Also, Shift+Tab brings up the chat window, while F12 takes a screenshot.
The game must support the Overlay feature for these to work -- most games do. You can check this under "More" button next to Play/Install - Manage Installation - Configure - see if Overlay is checked. You can also look at the Game Features box on the store details page.

For future reference, please note there's a dedicated GOG Galaxy forum.
Welcome to GOG!

I wish it is, but nah. It's just me.

Don't mind him, he's like that toward everyone. Best to just ignore his comments.
