adaliabooks: I'll do it now. I've done something to my back so off work tonight. [...]
Hopefully not bad enough to enjoy some pizza and a game.

Is the Abzû cover solved now, or do we still need one?

And regarding the png format - that's the one I work with too, but convert the covers into jpg before uploading them here for two reasons: (i) often times the size exceeds GOG's limit, and (ii) not sure if it makes all that of a difference in the library.

If it works, and people prefer them, doing only png isn't a problem for me.

Not sure.. I messaged Judas to see if there is one they can add, if not we will need one made.

I don't know whether it will work or not, I don't see any reason it shouldn't but if anyone can confirm the Sudden Strike covers are working then I don't suppose it matters either way.

Well, no pizza as we weren't working but I have played a bit of Pillars of Eternity.

You mean that you don't have some stocked up for a rainy day? Tsk tsk...

We used to freeze some when we had stuff left at the end of a night... but we're usually too busy these days (which isn't a bad thing) so don't often have the time, stock or energy to.

We could make them in the normal oven... but they're really not the same.

I mainly used png because I wasn't sure how much jpeg compression would be appropriate, and adalia could convert them if he wanted to. Basically I'm just shifting responsibility. :-P I don't think it really makes much of a difference.

[emphasis added]

I assume the part I highlighted means that your Sudden Strike covers in png show just fine then, yet don't look (much?) better than covers in jpg, yes?

And what do you do with left overs now? Throw them away?!

They show for me at least (although not until I added them myself, for some reason).
The quality... depends. I did get good results with jpg by disabling chroma color subsampling. The colors remained bright, and saving at 90% quality added little artifacting with considerably smaller file size (at least for the largest cover). On the other hand, with png you don't have to worry about the quality at all, and I don't know if the saved bandwidth is that big of a deal.

We don't often have left overs now, that's the problem (or not, depending how you look at it)

Judas informs me ABZU now has a legacy cover in the gog mixes.

If any of my new helpers would like to give it a go sorting it out please feel free :)

There's something wrong with the manual sorting feature. It works fine up to position 1299. But whenever I try to move something to position 1300 or higher, it will automatically go to position 1301 (no matter which position I choose for real). Sorting via drag and drop works fine though.
