It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I spoke too soon yesterday, I am now getting the same problem as PaterAlf. I am using Avast but don't have it running in Firefox (see MarkoH01's post) and the only thing I did different today was update uBlock origin to version 1.13.10.

Hang on let me test with uBlock disabled....

OK. when it is disabled AF works perfectly but when I enable it again, the same problem appears. It seems to be connected to uBlock Origin version 1.13.10.

paladin181: No, I don't. I stopped using privacy badger when this conflict arose. I just re-enabled it and images seem to work ok now. So, I don't know.
Thank you.

Ok, that should help a bit. I do use uBlock (well, uMatrix.. I think it's the same thing?) in Chrome but I don't block much and have it completely disabled for Gog. I'll install uBlock on Firefox and see if I can get any problems.
Thanks!

I'm not getting any issues with uBlock and the script... are you using any particular settings in uBlock? I've just left it at the defaults and everything is working fine.
Ok, I removed uBlock and now I can see the attachments again. Think I will install AdBlock instead and hope that will solve the problem for me.

adaliabooks: Do you get any kind of error messages in the console (either in the forum window or the one the attachment opens in) when it doesn't work?
There was no error message in the console.

adaliabooks: What does it show if you hover over the link? Do you get the right URL?
And what is the url you actually go to when you click on it?

For example the attachment to Hyper's post you linked above should take you to:
https://www.gog.com/upload/forum/2017/08/abd3fcc5eb494baa346a185b0d406e3527d8042c.png
Yes, I get the right URL. When I hover over the link and also when in the new Tab that opens for the attachment.

Very strange... I wasn't getting any issues or conflicts with that one either..

Oh well, at least we know the culprit, though it's a shame if you have to change plugins to fix it.. I'll keep looking into it and see what I can find..

I've just reset uBlock to default settings and the problem persists. I think I'll follow PaterAlf and try AdBlock instead. Will let you know what happens.

EDIT: Well disabled uBlock Origin and then installed AdBlock Plus 2.9.1 and everything now works as it should again. Obviously something in uBlock Origin was having a hissy fit. I'm inclined to think it is the crossover from Legacy that is causing the problem. Anyway, thanks for looking in to it and for a great script :)

See that's really odd then, because it's not causing it for me with default settings... unless it's something to do with having it installed for a while (or a bad update?) I can't see why I wouldn't get it too :/

At least there is a work around.

Thanks for your help and patience!

DOOM 3 BFG Edition is still missing the legacy boxart. Do you have any idea when this will be updated?

It might need to be manually sorted.. can you get me the ID and I'll look into it?

Very strange indeed, perhaps there is a link between uBlock Origin and avast itself (i.e. even when the browser plugin isn't installed) that is causing this issue, but I'm not going to install avast to test it.

Possibly...
It just seems odd that anything would break the attachments, at the end of the day all they are is a picture file, you can't get any more basic.
But as both times this has happened it's been to do with a privacy / blocking plug in then it must be conflicting somehow with something from the script, I just have no idea what.

Can one (or both) of you try something for me?

If you edit the script itself and add the line;

// @exclude https://www.gog.com/upload/forum/*

below the block of includes at the start of the script (it should be line 13) then it will stop the script loading at all on the attachment pages.

Once you've edited it (and saved) try enabling the offending plug ins and opening an attachment again.

Considering I have no idea what's causing it disabling the script entirely on the attachment pages (where it does nothing anyway) might help.
