It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Block should now be lifted and updates should hopefully work again.

HypersomniacLive: Updated and tried out the legacy shelf. Check out the attachment - is this at my end, or is something not working as should?
Try zooming out (smaller boxes).

It appears that the boxes can grow indefinitely, but the shelves are limited, so if you zoom in too much they go out of sync.

HypersomniacLive: Also, the game's details open at the very top of the screen and not at the bottom. This is independent of the type of shelf in use. Is this by design, is it at my end or did something go wrong?
Open just below the box for me.

Bug report:

See attached image of my wishlist with AF enabled. If I disable AF, the wishlist looks fine.

I think mrkgnao probably has it right, I'll look into it and see if there's anything I can do, but I kind of doubt it if it's zoom settings browser side.

Hmm, did get that during testing but then it went away so I assumed it was something I'd done when messing about on the page. Will do some further testing on that

@mrkgnao
Ah, didn't realise the wishlist ran off the same system.. I'll fix that like I did the list view.

My browser zoom settings are at 100%, I don't think that has anything to do with the game boxes spilling over the shelves - going bellow 100% doesn't fix the issue.

Also, switching between Grid and List View, requires a full page refresh for the content to show. I assume that has something to do with iframe?

As for the game details issue:

- Script enabled --> game details open at the top of the screen in both views.
- Script disabled --> game details open under the game box in both views.

Interesting... I had tested in Firefox and not got any of those issues (for once) so I'm not sure what the problem is...
The list thing was an issue but I thought I'd sorted it.
I'll look into it in a bit and see what the problem is..

Perhaps it's payback for wanting to lynch you.

ROFL

You got me, I slipped a special test in to check if it was you and not work ;)

I'll have a look again, I thought I'd tested all the basic operations (and the ones that caused problems in Chrome) in Firefox, but there might be some teething troubles still...

Goes with being that petty, eh?

I'll look into a couple of things at my end, and report back if anything makes a difference.

Of course ;)

Thanks, I appreciate it. Doing some business stuff right (I know, real work that pays me money... shesh...) now but will check it out myself later and see what's happening.

OK, I've rolled back to Firefox 40.0.3, installed the latest v41.0.1, switched to the default theme, disabled other scripts and userstyles, uninstalled and reinstalled AF. And by this I mean, that I've tried every possible combination there, to the point that GOG started giving me the stupid captcha thing for my constant log in/ log out.

The game boxes spilling over the shelves issue remains, no matter what.

The game details opened correctly under the game box only on Firefox 40.0.3 and in Grid View.

The need for a page refresh when switching between Grid and List View occurs only when the Legacy Shelf is not in use.

Not sure what else to try.

First, thanks for your efforts, it really helps.

So, I've fixed the reported wishlist problems, and also the need to refresh between Grid and List view when not on the Legacy Shelf (just some stuff I forgot to take into account there)

As for the game details, it works correctly with the new view, but not with the original one... which doesn't make much sense as if anything would break I would have expected it to be the new view.
When you click a box it shows the window and translates it to where it should be, but when you have default view selected it doesn't translate it correctly. I'm working on it, and should hopefully find a solution for it.

As for the boxes and shelf not lining up correctly.. I'm really not sure why that doesn't work. The only way I can get it to happen is if I zoom in a lot, so I suspect it may be to do with the responsive settings. What resolution is your computer set to? Do you have anything installed that might effect the resolution or zoom?
I'll look into it and see if there is a way to make it stretch or shrink as necessary so it doesn't happen.

Edit: Also, could you either give me a screen shot of the top row of boxes with the filters etc. or just tell me whether it seems to be the boxes that are in the wrong place or the shelf (I'd assume it's the shelf background that is badly positioned, but it could be that the boxes are being pushed to the wrong place for some reason...)

I just wanted to point out for box art vs new style game art on the Library, doesn't GOG still use the legacy style box art for the GOG Mixes?? It sure looks like they do because there is the new style box art for the recently released Quake 2 and 3.

I sure hope this helps you, because I (and a lot of other goggers) would love to see a return to the old style shelves that have the nice boxart.

Wanted to report that AF finally updated (no idea why it took a day to do so) and I have the legacy shelf in Firefox and it works correctly for me (see attached screenie). I wish there was something you could do to get the aspect ratio of the boxes correct without making the shelf look like ass, but I know this is the best you've been able to get at this time so it works for now. I really hope you can find a way to get the boxart from the GOG mixes and use that ratio, that would be the best!

In the meantime, thanks again and always for making GOG better each day (moreso than the devs, lol).

PS: I liked the black shelf better than the wood too, but either are fine. With the new shelves I've been using the glass one, no idea why.

:D

You are a genius! It does indeed look like they use the old style art on the mixes, and that they have boxes for new games too. Now, assuming I can actually get those pictures somehow I might just be able to implement the legacy shelf properly...

Ok. Having looked at the GoG Mixes it seems that they don't use angularjs like the rest of the site (probably as they didn't get updated) so it's hard to see where the image data comes from...
But, if nothing else, I could just make a GoG Mix including every game on GoG and then load it and search for the images in it.... which should work.
I'll have a look around first and see if I can find any reference to the old style images in the product info that I can access in the library.
