adaliabooks: So, just been doing some tests with the account page to see what's possible.
Changing games per page isn't going to be as easy as I'd hoped (there is an option there for productsPerPage, but changing it does nothing) but I'll just use the same method I used on the reviews and it should work.
As for looks, I've attached some pictures. The first two are trying to emulate the old style shelf more (the second one I've used a couple of legacy covers too), the third one is just reimplementing the full background and getting rid of the name card so it's just a picture.
Option three is probably easier (haven't spoken to Barefoot about the legacy stuff yet, just playing around with the stuff from my wiki page, but I'm not sure new games will have legacy covers, and squishing them doesn't look great), but doesn't quite look as nice as the old shelf did.
What do you all think?
I, for one, would use this feature. I'd love a return to the old bookshelf page, especially one that displays everything on one page because I can't stand clicking through. Looking forward to manual sorting as well, although I know its already on your list and probably a fair ways off. As to which one I prefer, I'd like the first or second option best but only if the aspect ratios were correct. Knowing that there probably aren't the same type of images for newer games, I'd go with option 3. As long as it is consistent and uses the correct aspect ratios for the pictures. That's my biggest input I can give you.
Oh I have a suggestion that will probably be a breeze to implement. Please have an option to always hide the "Try GOG Galaxy" banner on the main page and on the Library page. I don't want to see it anywhere on the site. It's obnoxious.
