So in forgotten city i did nearly anything but the achievements aren’t unlocking.The main page doesn’t say that it doesn’t have one but if you own the game they are all shown in galaxy.Anyone experiencing the same?

So to unlock achievements in games and have them counted, you need to use galaxy, however some games have a built-in achievement tracker that does not require galaxy. Hello everyone! My Mafia: Definitive Edition achievement aren't unlocking. I supposed to get achievements for first two missions at least, but none of them counted. GOG Galaxy overlay is active and all in-game features in setting are turned on. I had no such troubles back when I played Gwent 6 years ago. What could be the issue?

Btw, support can unlock your achievements manually if you ask them to do so and prove some grounds for this.

What game did you have this issue with? It's just your Mafia progress is 0% as well as mine. How did you solve this issue?

Illuminaria, Metal Slug X, Superhot, Worms WMD, Bridge Constructor, Metal Slug 3, Super 3D Noa Ark, The Chronicles of Myrtana, Metal Slug 2...... and then.... it turned out I had installed all of those games before and registered within windows.

It was a Galaxy 2.0 issue, and wanted to keep my games where it was, so uninstalled the Galaxy xD
this idea with earlier Galaxy seems fine, but..... support was fine too; they wanted to help me unlock achievements and keep feeling good, "Dragonfly out in the sun, you know what I mean, don't you know?

Achievements haven't worked for me since 2017, and I'm actually glad. I feel free now. I only looked at achievements after I finished a game to see what I "achieved." I started to find myself getting sucked in to try and unlock things, and now that I'm free, looking back I see how much time I wasted on pointless crap.

I kept playing games through Galaxy for a while to track play time, and to see if it ever got fixed. I now only use Galaxy because it's easier to download offline installers through it. I will install new games through it that will be getting frequent updates, then get the offline installer when it's finished.

What's weird though is sometimes when I start Galaxy, an achievement for a game I haven't played in a while will unlock.

Actually people have found a solution for the achievements on Mafia subforum here. It seems if you run the game as administrator the achievements work (you have to set the mafiadefinitiveedition.exe to always run as adiministrator from properties)

That's dangerous and ill advised, but hey, the lengths some people will go to just to have a box appear in a corner of their screen to let them know they accomplished some mundane task, eh?

To be fair I was thinking the same after I posted this. Giving admin rights to a game from devs that I know nothing about just to get an achievement - maybe not the best idea
